UPDATE: Called 11:03am St Patricks Day 2025 and Carrie was SOOOO NICE over the phone when I inquired about Guinness stew. Arrive shortly after and Rachel the bartender was more than welcoming. Gambled sat at the bar had some laughs or two. Ordered delicious Guinness stew even took an order to go! even though we didn’t win on the machines, we had a good time and would be back during the day. Still nervous about coming in at night because the bad experiences happened on swingshift, but those two girls on the dayshift surely made up for the previous bad experiences. Good job hammers stepping up your game is greatly appreciated!!! ————————————- Been here 4 times and wanted to like it as it is right off the bike trail and we can ride our bikes there, even though there is no bike rack, there are two posts right upfront to lock up to. (One positive) There is no smoking (positive number 2) Other than that terrible, the bitchy waitress’ need to check themselves, we were standing at the back table near the bathrooms and the very first greeting was “this is not a table, you can go other there” 😳 wtf? Really? So we moved…THEN two waitresses came up to us as we went to the high top area and said “this is the restaurant side” 😳 AGAIN we are in the wrong spot for drinks? Wtf? One snotty waitress said “ya know it’s like Chili’s there’s a bar side and a restaurant side” my response was NO this is NOT like Chilies, there you get good service! Found a little spot open at the corner of the bar AGAIN nobody said shit to us!! Two women just trying to have a drink. It was just another BAD VIBE. Recommend. It's definitely a bar/pub kind of scene, and it was quite chill and relaxing. They have their regulars at the bar like most places. Really friendly service, too -- you know, where the server calls you "hun" or "sugar". As a little bonus, they had a free bingo game at the top of the hour, and the prize was $25 worth of free play. I'm not really a gambler, but it was still a nice touch. The bar is quite large, and there's a separate gaming bar top right next to the main bar.

For the food, I had heard about their wings. So, I ordered up some golden garlic wings and a Cobb salad along with a draft beer (Space Dust, yum!). Wings were meaty and juicy, and I liked the sauce a lot. Half the time when I get garlic wings of any sort, the wings are dry with some shaved garlic on them (and usually sprinkles of shredded parmesan for the garlic parm variety). But not here, and that was nice. Cobb salad was OK, too.

What was nice is the seemingly politically-neutral TV setup. Lots of screens with NBC on one, CBS on another, FOX on another, and a smattering of sports. This is my home, I've lived in Henderson for four years now and I'm leaving soon and I must say goodbye. Hammers is more then a bar to me, it has been a place where I know I can go and always have family to talk to. Hammer and Julie have taken care of me and I love you two with all my heart, Whittney, Ted, Mike, Chere, Dennis and recently Lindsey... you are all close to my heart and it makes saying goodbye so hard. If you want a review of how amazing this place is, well I think there are only a few places on earth that make me feel like I'm home and this is definitely one of them. Beyond that, the food that these guys are putting together and the love that goes into it, well it is amazing and I can't wait to see how it's gonna go from here on out, I wish you guys all the best the universe has to offer. If you think this place sucks your moral compass is shot, hammers is one of the best hidden bars in Nevada.
