Kneaders Bakery & Cafe — Restaurant in Henderson

I normally would never take my time to write a review however the customer service in this restaurant is absolutely horrible, this is now my 4th or 5th time going through this type of situation and I’m not even a customer I am writing this as an Uber eats driver. I went to this restaurant yesterday 5/23/2023 around 10:30am to pick up for a customer and when I walked in the woman who was behind the counter saw me come in but continued to swipe on her phone and continuously use her phone behind the counter without even greeting me, asking if I needed help or was being helped. After about 3 to 4 minutes she finally asks if I’m there for a pick up I told her yes, gave her my customers name and she doesn’t even reply she just walks away, normally I am used to being approached when I walk into a restaurant and when I give my customers name for pick up they usually let me know if the order is ready and hand it to me or they’ll let me know if they are still working on it but they never just ignore me and walk away. I could understand if they were busy or had a line I’m totally ok with waiting but when there’s absolutely no line and you and the co workers in the back are going back and forth I start to get frustrated. I waited another about 5 mins for the woman to finally hand me the order with the nastiest attitude and doesn’t even say a word. We came In late and picked up 6 dessert items to try from this lovely place yesterday. The service was kind and helpful talking about deals and different items to try and the atmosphere was so clean and warm. The German Chocolate cake was so smooth, rich, and creamy. Exactly what you want with a german chocolate cheese cake. The Cookie was not the one i ordered (i ordered the double chocolate, but got chocolate chip) but still very good. I didn't know how fresh they were, but it still had a very slight crunch and soft center. An incredibly acceptable consistency and enjoyable despite not being what i ordered. The chocolate dome dessert was the most disappointing, but only because we thought it would be more brownie like when the majority is mousse. It was good for what it was but not what i thought it would be. The raspberry cheesecake was delicious. again, the smoothness and creaminess of the cheesecake was perfectly matched by the tart, citrussy taste of the raspberry on top. Delicious The almond Croissant. Also good with a very well spread, smooth almond rocca filling. very balanced. the crunch on the thin almonds was EXACTLY what it should be. And the Carrot cake had the perfect amount anc consistency of carrots in the cake. it was a tiny bit too sweet with all the frosting but was still Delicious. Food is great... when they're willing to make it. I work late, and multiple times I had attempted to get a hot sandwich (one including ordering online) only to be told their "grill is off." The general manager of the restaurant told me this should not be the case and apologized, yet every time I call, the on-duty manager for evenings let's me know they can't make the sandwich. If it were a unique instance, I understand, but you advertise later hours and allow for later online orders... but then can't complete them. One time, I decided to get something else after being told "the grill is off" and when I pulled up to the drive thru they informed me I could not pay cash. After asking why, they said I would need exact change. I paid for this and talked to the general manager online. The general manager, after getting a bad survey decided to comp my next meal, at which point the evening manager questioned me on why I made a complaint the next time I went in, and made it more uncomfortable. The complaint was a) you refused to cook food in your menu b) refused to take cash and c) gave me a Kraft single in my sandwich. You could literally see the marks from the plastic wrapping (I ordered roast beef and cheddar.) The evening manager, Brittany, just seems to not want to work and would rather talk a customer out of ordering. Not sure why they keep her around. Only visit this restaurant in morning...
