Putter's Bar and Grill Horizon — Restaurant in Henderson

Walking in I thought this place could be my new hang out. There is a restaurant, bar, pool table, darts and streaming music. They didn't have nickel machines so my friend and I both played 25 cents each hand at keno and later switching to poker. We both had 4 draft beers and were there 3 hours. We both had $40 to play with. She didn't win anything but I ended up winning $18. When I went to cash out the bartender handed me a bill for my beers less a $3.50 "slot comp". However, my friend who was playing the same amount, had the same drink and quantity, was there the same duration, played the same games and the same bet as me had no bill? Seemed very suspect and left a bad taste in my mouth. Needless to say because of this I will never go back and neither will my friend. Way to lose 4 customers on their first visit. Now I understand why they were dead, lack luster service with bartenders who have no personality and they charge for drinks even if you are gambling. Oh but only those customers that they pick and choose from. Get it...

Let’s start with service! That was great they came around often enough. Drinks were good. However I asked them if they have Stella blue moon or shock top. It’s just a dollar difference from Stella and shock top But… if I asked for both good customer service would be to say “we have both do you have a preference just so you know we have shock top on special” let me make that decision.

Food: I tried SOOOO hard to eat the nachos but they were soooo salty all the food the fries and the sliders. So my friend had like 2 small bites and we didn’t even eat close to half the nachos and we sent it back. We just said never mind don’t want it. They said they would give us half off the food. Whatever better than nothing but if it’s salty and didn’t even eat half I shouldn’t pay for it in my opinion. But they did give me a discount I guess we won’t be coming back! Especially because when I told them my nachos were salty he was like they shouldn’t be! I KNOW I GET IT HOW DO YOU MESS UP NACHOS AND MAKE THEM SALTY...

Walked in and sat at the bar which was 80% occupied, and one table of 6 occupied. One bartender/server handling the whole show. Patiently waited about 10 minutes, understanding she was fairly busy. Then before even being acknowledged two came in and sat at a table. She waited on them next. Between their drinks and getting their food order in I waited about another 5 minutes. I’m a more patient customer than most, so I decided to wait just a bit longer (partially out of curiosity about how bad this might get). I waited another 10, now 25 minutes into my visit. Not so much as a”hi” or “sorry, be right with you”. Nothing at all. I left. Went to a close by place and was greeted and served in less than one minute. It was only partially the server’s fault. A place that size, on an NFL Sunday needs at least two working. Side note: I realize smoking is permitted in establishments of this type and agree to tolerate it.
