I am usually a lunch customer twice a week and get the potato soup or broccoli cheedar tonight I decided to take my daughters to eat dinner and when I tell you it it was the worse choice I ever made. First we were sat down and it took 20 minutes for waitress to finally greet us mind you they has about 20 waitress just walking around caring for all the other tables nobody even said a hi someone will be with you I had to het back up and go to the hostess to ask if we will have a waitress today. The racist vibes I recieved from our Caucasian waitress made me feel so uncomfortable she had the four tables in our section and the other customers were all Caucasian oh she went above and beyond for them and she just was so short and terrible with us. I ordered the endless soup so did my girls as I do for lunch and the soup was burnt at the bottom making the entire soup taste nasty. I ate a bowl of the Chilli and that was good but my daughters didn't get to eat but a spoon full of the potato soup. I express this to the waitress she says oh now you tell me.. look miss if you would come to our table and be a good waitress I would be able to tell you but every time I had to get up from my seat to ask for water and get assistance. None the less we get our check and instead of her removing the endless soups off our ticket she take off 20% that was only 6 bucks..my daughters didn't even eat soup I was the only one. I was so ready to go I paid for the meal and still left her a 22% tip because I am a good person, but morale of my review be careful when you go to Ribeyes you might get a racist waitress and nasty food and the manager don't care of the value of a good customer. I will not ever eat there again due to...
Read moreI really wanted to be able to leave a better review. I try to be positive and focus on what was done well. In this case my work was cut out for me. First before getting into the food I have to say there is no reason to have that many flies in the dining room. My girlfriend and I were constantly waving flies away. It was like being at a picnic. Service was friendly and attentive.
Now for the food. My girl and I did the ribeye meal for 2. The steak was 1/4" thick. They said it was a 16oz ribeye cut into 2- 8oz steaks. I just don't see how it could have been. Since the steak was so thin, it was overcooked to medium well when asked to be medium. There is no room for error when cooking a 1/4" thick steak. The seasoning on the steak was great. The bake potato and French fries were fine.
Prior to the entrées we had the salad and soup bar. The salad bar had a good number of things on the bar. There was issue with the vegetables being old and wilted. The broccoli was very brown. I was excited to try the potatoes bacon soup. The first spoonfull had a hair hanging from it. I told the waitress and I did not see anyone change the soup out while I was there. I had a seat that was looking directly at the soup. They said it would be 15 minutes to make a new batch.
This is a steak house so it is more than a normal. I will say that for money the dinner was not worth it. 4 people $135.oo is a lot of money. For a couple more dollars it is the same price point as Angus Barn in Raleigh.
Again, I wish I could leave a better review but I don't want to mislead anyone. I drive by this place every weekend. I...
Read moreMy husband and I hosted our son's wedding rehearsal dinner at Ribeyes. When the bride and I met with the staff member, we were told that the Angus Room would be where our party would take place. The tables were to be arranged and dressed in red and black cloths, with candles. I spoke to a staff member at 12 pm, that same day, and was promised that when we arrived at 6:30 pm, the room would be ready. When my daughter in law arrived at 6 pm, with the groom's cake, nothing had been done in the room. The tables were not even arranged as discussed. When I arrived at 6:30 pm, still nothing had been done. I spoke to a staff member, that said the lady that had promised the room would be ready for our guests, was not even there. She said she was sorry. When the bride to be arrived, I had to explain to her that there would no table dressings, no elegant look, that we had been promised. I even had to find someone to get the candles lit. The bride had told her family and wedding party members, how beautiful the room was going to be. My husband and I were completely embarrassed. We spent 1200.00 dollars that night, and we never saw or heard from the manager. My husband was shocked that we were not offered a discount. I even left a note for him the next week, hoping to hear from him....NOTHING...NOT EVEN AN APOLOGY. I still have heard nothing. We trusted Ribeyes to host this special event for our family and guests and we were very disappointed. My advise...choose a venue that will deliver what...
