Really disappointed. First time to visit this place. I tell them I am supposed to be meeting someone but not sure if they are going to show. Told them I was totally OK with eating by myself. Sat down, received my drink and then waiter asked if I was ready to order... told him I was still looking at the menu. Then for the next 30 to 40 minutes didn't get a visit from my waiter. I sat there being patient, but then started looking around and saw many other tables had been sat and I still wasn't getting any attention. Finally decided to go to the register and explained how I thought I got forgot about and I just needed to pay for my drink and I had to go. He said I thought you were waiting on someone... did you tell your waiter? At this point I was kind of confused cause the waiter went to take my order and I told him I needed to look at the menu first... and I told the cashier this... he just said in a rude tone "your drink is taken care of" and I then left. Still confused as to what happened. I told them my guest may not show and I told them I needed to look at menu. I'm not sure what else I could of done except flag the server down which I hate doing cause they are busy. I just think the waiter should of at least come to check on me even if he thought I was waiting on someone. Maybe it's my fault. Either way I left hungrier then I showed up. Won't be going back. While they were super friendly when I got there... when I explained I got forgotten about it instantly turned to my fault and there was no apology. I can't deal with people not accepting responsibility. I'll accept my shortcomings but they should of...
Read moreWhen I first went, I distinctly remember that Casa Vieja was surprisingly better than most Mexican Chain restaurants that I'd been to previously.{{{Most the time when you'd go out to eat at a Mexican restaurant, you weren't there to try something new...My point being is that they are all pretty much the same basic place with a different look and some minor food tase differences(basically, you know what your going to get).}}} What i'm saying is: "I have always liked to go out for mexican, especially to Casa Vieja because it was always great." The decor was nicer, menu was fuller, service was faster, the portions of food were all a bit bigger, and the overall simple taste was the reason I went back… I guess the only real difference in the $ was that you weren't hesitant to tip a bit more hah. *My review is in past tense because I haven't been there in about a year. Average meal prices Lunch - $8.00-$12.00 Dinner -...

Casa Vieja offers a warm and inviting atmosphere, perfect for enjoying a classic taste of Latin cuisine in Hendersonville. The service was friendly and attentive, and the ambiance felt authentic and welcoming.
The beef dish we ordered had good flavor, but the pieces were cut too small and ended up overly salty, which took away from the overall experience. I also tried the ceviche de camarón, hoping for that bright, citrusy kick, but it lacked seasoning and felt quite plain.
Despite these small setbacks, the restaurant delivers a solid dining experience, and I appreciate the effort they put into creating a cozy and enjoyable environment. A little adjustment on the seasoning would make it even better!
Would I come back? Absolutely! There’s still plenty on the menu...
