It’s so bad i want to give it a 0, but that’s not possible- so i give it a 1. Immediately upon being sat our server named “BOSS” on the receipt asks if we’re ready to order, given we had just moments before been sat obviously were not ready to place our order or even had the chance to look at the menu yet. She comes back MAYBE 3 minutes later to ask us if we’re ready yet, still, we say no and to have a few more minute to look over the menu. She doesn’t say “sure” “no problem” or any thing at all really, just angrily turns and walks away in silence. She then walks up a third time to ask us if we’re ready to place our order yet and since we felt pressured to order this time we did… even though it had been maybe 7 minutes since we’d walked inside the place, nonetheless we placed our order under pressure and held out our menus for her to take but instead aggressively ripped from both our hands, and i mean snatched them away. We get our food and the food is actually great. She comes over once more as we’re still eating but decides for herself that that doesn’t matter and takes away my friends plate of food before asking if she wanted a box, or if she was even finished eating, to which i was infuriated about asking my friend if she wanted me to say something, to which she replied “no” and that she “didn’t want to make a scene”. We both were extremely upset with how horrible our experience was and will not be...
Read morePrior to last night I had been twice and it was decent for the price. However, last night when I went with my guy who doesn't speak English the waitress got mad when I ordered for him. Still can't figure out what the orange sauce that comes with the shrimp tempura is supposed to be. Our sushi plate came out totally wrong and what was there did not taste good. When we would ask for something we wouldn't get it. They did not give us individual plates to go with our shared platter so we ate over our napkins. But even with all of that my guy still wanted to sit and hang out and drink his Sapporo's. The waitress brought the check and he paid with a card. I was going to leave a cash tip (because....taxes) and I tip relatively well even with bad service and food because I was in restaurants for a long time. The lady picked up his signed check and walked halfway across the restaurant, stopped, turned around and then proceeded to yell at and try to shame us for not tipping her, in front of everyone in the restaurant. He still had an entire beer left to drink... we weren't done yet. Hands down the most inappropriate thing I have ever had a server say to me. We won't be...
Read moreSushi is my favorite thing to review. Unfortunately Nashville is not a place to eat sushi. It's just not. I have gone to fancy places we've gone to mom and pop places but the pallet for Nashville and sushi don't mix.
However, Hana is the best sushi I have had in Nashville, so far. Their fish is always fresh and you can rely on their tuna being good for sashimi or nigiri, but that's about it.
But what really keeps me coming back for more is what we call crack rice, which is shrimp fried rice that has no frills no nothing but for some reason it's the best fried rice I've ever had. Shrimp is always tender, moist cooked to perfection the flavoring of the fried rice is unbelievable and I crave it all the time hence the name crack rice.
Also, I get udon noodles with beef cooked stirfry and again just excellent. So you can go here for a sushi roll or two and I recommend it however, try other things on the menu besides the Bento box or the tempura vegetables. You will not be upset with...
