The North End is a great spot to go and mingle with the locals and have a drink. There are all walks of life there and everyone gets along with each other. I love the history of the place and there are old photos of the building on the walls. There is a huge water dispenser with ice and lemons on the counter for anyone to get a drink. As far as I know, this is the only place at the beach with self serve water, which is greatly appreciated! The circular bar is in the middle so it’s easy to walk up to any side and order a drink. We tried a Maker’s Manhattan and Margarita. Both were strong and excellent and the bartender was very friendly. There is a pool table inside and tons of large screen TVs with different sporting events on. There is metered parking in the front and around the neighborhood. We rode our bikes there since it’s just across the street from the strand. There’s not any parking for bikes, but everyone seems to attach the bikes to a parking meter or near the sidewalk. There were a few spots to sit outside, but I prefer the inside. Our table was against the window and had a view of the street. The atmosphere is lively but not too loud to carry on a conversation. If your walking or biking the strand and looking for a good place to go, definitely stop in at...
Read moreIt might seem that I'm on a negative review train but it seems like every place you go. They actually don't want your business. They just want to own a restaurant. We have a house in Manhattan and we're always looking for new places to eat. We decided to hit a sports bar to watch the warriors game. We ended up at North End.
Mind you we had to pay 6 dollars just to park...
We sat down at the beginning of the first quarter for game 1 vs the Timberwolves.
The bartender and waitress played with the TV, served a couple locals as soon as they walked in, but never gave us a second look.
They made pseudo eye contact with us, but never even acknowledged us.
At the end of the first quarter we walked out without ever getting even a drink order taken
There was no one eating outside, and the inside was about half full.
If you're local and looking for something to drink, it may be for you, but they don't seem to want new customers.
For sheer drinking and canoodling without caring about service or your time. Give it a try. But if you're actually hungry and looking for more than prison food; go somewhere else. You've...
Read moreFirst time here it's okay service atmosphere cleanliness etcetera and to maintain. During Happy Hour keep all menu items under $20 per menu item and before thereafter depending on but not to exceed $30 per menu item. Tip is standard 15 percent and then thereafter decided by the customer also including discounts and coupons in restaurant and all other methods. Stated this and not just here and am correct in doing so. After this say no more I do initially only and or if I have reasons from here to do so I do only now for a very few places that I have not and now currently 99 percent of total businesses are aware this includes previously to currently. For this businesses that do not have email addresses and or forms to fill out them reviews are read instead no problem to explain. This goes for all locations Los Angeles California and surrounding and different States Areas Locations...
