Paisano's Pizza — Restaurant in Herndon

The manager is an awesome person. He makes it possible to have a great experience. I am going back with more frequency, and the experience seems to get better with each visit. I say that because the associate always has my request made to order, and this was great. On this evening, I went to fulfill a request of a void friend who wasn't feeling well. They'd ask for a pizza from a known vendor. The location isn't desirable because at night their is a club that host adult entertainment and it spoils outside. However, Paisanos was open on in my general vicinity. I stopped in and was greeted by the owner. The store was empty, so I asked for a moment to review the menu. I decided on a large pizza with meat toppings, which I was choosing. The owner advised on a "meat lover's " because it would be cheaper. I went with his suggestion and ordered a calzone as well. It didn't take too long, although it felt like an eternity because I was the only person here. When I reverie it and took it to its destination everyone was very surprised at the size and the amount of meat on the pie. However, my calzone was cut like a Stromboli on the top. Anyone who is familiar with a calzone and a Stromboli knows the cure is not on a calzone. This is the only issue I have with Paisanos. But overall, the order was good, and the orbs had flavor. We were doing a Post Thanksgiving dinner with friends and we offered to bring a full meal over with include a wide selection of entrees, salads and appetizers. Everythign was great. I was actually surprised how good the Lasagna was and my friends did not believe i got this from a delivery Pizza joint! I knew the Gyro and the salads would be great because we do those all the time. I thing have a challenge decide whether to get their Greek Gyro salad or their Buffalo chicken salad: both are very good and very generous serving, often times are more than I can eat as an entrée. My son recommends you get the Greek gyro salad with extra Gyro meat, he said it seems like they get super generous with the gyro meat, and he has a large appetite and even that fills it. Also the fries are quite good too, i always ask to get them a little crunchier. Their pizzas are very good, don't get a plain pizza for the kids, get a marguerite for them, it will elevate their understanding of what real pizza can be with the fresh buffalo mozzarella and basil. The new Ca[prese salad is a nice appetizer to share and i like the Greek influence of adding cucumbers to that dish as well.
