So to begin. I hate when someone writes a review after only one visit as that usually isn't a clear depiction of the establishment nor the attitude on that particular day of the reviewer. So here we go...
First visit we were amazed at the layout and the views. Hopefully the surrounding area that faces east will not be built up because you cannot beat drinking a beer with our beautiful mountains in the background. My wife and I travel the nation for work and visit 100's of brew pub/bars a year. Our thing is to relax, enjoy the ambiance and play cards. The wait staff have been great, no issues and always friendly (Waitstaff rates 5 stars). The food we chose was the trashcan nachos and that is where the rating goes down. (Food rate 2.5). The cheese was almost like cheese water which made the chips soggy. (Working in the restaurant industry through college has made me never want to send food back).
Second visit we were still in awe of the bar itself and the views. Waitstaff again friendly and attentive (Waitstaff rates 5 stars). I had the Chicken Avocado sandwich and my wife had Pork Tacos. The food was nicely plated and visually attractive, just bland. It reminded me of my moms cooking as she has a condition that prohibits her from consuming excess salt. (Food rate 3.5).
Third visit was this weekend and again great service. I had wings dry, sauce on the side and they were good but just basic wings. My wife had a mushroom swiss burger that was good as well. Our experience with the meal portion on this visit was much better. (Food rate 4).
Overall I want this to be my go to local pub but just some tweaks to the menu are in need. I worked in the restaurant industry for some time so perhaps my opinions are somehow biased.
My review of the staff, location and bar itself is a 5. The food brings it...
Read moreRedemption is a very laid back local establishment, with a patriotic vibe and excellent ambiance. It is a smaller space, reminiscent of a NY pub. They seem to be busy all through out the day, which did slow our service down substantially (when we first arrived). We headed upstairs, to take our swings. Yes, they have cool swings at the bar. However, a few teeny boppers had stolen them before we got there, and the waves on the walls made us decide to just chill and hang out in the modern bar stools. (Bummed I didn't get to swing, literally not figuratively). It took us about 15 minutes before anyone said anything to us, or offered us something to wet our whistle..... but once we were engaged, the wait staff did a great job. The og gangster is no joke, but if you're looking for a greasy in and out burger, this isn't it. The meat is a blend, and has great texture and flavor but will throw a commoner off. My main squeeze ordered the one pounder with bacon and cheese (I insisted, I was buying and it was date night). I got the standard og with bacon and cheese lettuce wrapped. The only reason this joint is getting a -star....... is not because you forgot my salad and brought fries, nah.... I'm cool with that. It was because you forgot the bacon!! In a cruel world where I can't eat your glorious French fry concoction, you can't take my smoked pig away. (Also, we parked in the dirt lot and got boxed in for half hour before I finally had enough and went 4 wheeling over the barrier..... not your fault, but super annoying.)
Aside from that, the menu is diverse and fun, atmosphere is very cool, wait staff handles stress well, and the guy at the front had a sense of humor and was very respectful about the military ID....
Read moreThe food is good and the atmosphere has a cool vibe with a live band playing. If it is a busy night, It’s a little hard to hear conversations so you’ll need to speak up a bit and you’ll find yourselves leaning in to hear what your friends are saying.
The food is good with a plenty of choices. the service is timely and friendly. The theming is cool with an open air environment and classy fire pits surrounded by sofas you can sit on and chill with drinks and friends.
They also have a basement level that you can reserve and another area for a larger live band. You can fit a good size group of people to the tune of around 40 or so so and it has its own bar for the guests. There is No cell service but just ask the bartender for the Wi-Fi password. The big problem is the band is waaaay tooo loud. If they are playing, then conversations with friends are pretty much over. We were told the band doesn’t start playing until 9:00 buuuut they practice throughout the 8:00 hour so they if you plan any parties and want to chat, I’d recommend avoiding the evening hour or double check with management on performance AND practice time.
The location is a bit out of the way from many stores and restaurants and with mostly residential areas surrounding the building. However it is just off the Highway which makes it quick and easy access.
I would rate the main floor a 3 Star mainly because it’s just hard to hear conversations. The lower level a 2 Star. Not only because of the Loud band but there is no natural lighting and it feels like I’m in a bunker of some kind with tables and a bar and cinder...
