Zions Bank Stadium, REAL Academy, and Herriman City Police: Do Better!
Once again, Zions Bank Academy is hosting another event, and our neighborhood is suffering the consequences. Streets are blocked, traffic is chaotic, and parking is a nightmare. They either charge outrageous amounts or block off huge portions of their lot, forcing attendees to park in our residential streets.
This isn’t just inconvenient—it’s dangerous. A child was tragically stabbed and killed during a past event, and our neighborhood children witnessed this horror. This could have been prevented if the academy had managed its parking responsibly.
Despite reaching out to Herriman City Police, their only response is to “send photos online.” That doesn’t address immediate issues like cars blocking fire hydrants, stop signs, or intersections. How long are we going to wait before something tragic happens again—like one of our kids being hit because drivers can’t see past the illegally parked cars?
We understand public street parking is allowed, but our neighborhood should not be treated as an event overflow lot. Herriman City, Zions Bank Stadium, REAL Academy: this is on you. Fix the parking chaos. Enforce ticketing and towing. Protect our community.
This neighborhood deserves better. Respect our streets. Protect our...
Read moreThe stadium was really nice and clean. I did run into issues with the parking staff. The lady at the front tried to charge my husband and I $20 to park in a handicapped spot which is illegal in the state of Utah. Even despite being politely corrected she still had an attitude with my husband and I and didn’t concede to being wrong until she called her supervisor over. Her supervisor was much kinder and told us to go ahead. I am just embarrassed to have to make such a fuss about it but I didn’t ask to be disabled. I am trying to call the stadium about this but I have had no luck so far. If you are handicapped and have a placard or plate please do not let them charge you money to park in the paid lots, it is against the law. Show them your pass and tell them that legally you can park in any handicap spot for free. And to the staff at the stadium, please please PLEASE educate yourselves on ADA law and what you can and can’t charge people for. The extra star I am giving is to the ticket staff who were great and made sure I had seating that would allow me enough room to manage my cane and also did not make a fuss over my non-clear bag that I needed to bring in which had my medications I need to manage...
Read moreThis is for the PLL (Lacrosse) event on 07/25 and 07/26/2025. The website said we could bring sealed 32oz waters. On the Friday upon arriving we were told no. The next day, they did allow empty personal water bottles we could fill at the water fountains.
Food is a bit pricey. They have plenty of food trucks and variety but be prepared to pay. Some examples, a Pepperoni Pizza was $35, Taco plate $18, Pretzel Bites $7, 12oz sodas or water $5, Small Gelato $15. I would expect these prices at an NBA, NHL, or NFL game, but was sort of shocked here.
As for seating, the East side has stadium style chair seating (chairs that flip up and down with arm rests). They are nice, but the sun will be in your face the entire game(s). The West side has bleacher seating (benches). The benefit of this side is your not staring at the sun during the games as much, if at all. Both sides have roofing with limited shade.
Parking is $20, I would recommend forking over the money for it. The streets by the stadium along the houses are filled quickly and you could end up walking blocks if you can find...
