I live three blocks behind this Hardees. It was even my very first job. Over the last four years the food and service has went from good to extremely poor or just plain filth. When I go in the workers are always busy talking to buddies. In which they always the workers pass off large bags of free food. I have also noticed that they do have race discrimination going on. There are way more African Americans then Caucasians. There is a young cook that is very rude. I have walked in and was asked to "hold on" because the worker was on a cell phone. This store is open twenty four hours a day but the midnight shift never does their stocking supplies. They never follow protocol as far as bagging the orders for example, You should receive one napkin for every item of food. Half the time I do not receive a receipt. I have been in there numerous times and had to wait because their friends were distracting them from doing there jobs. Countless times I have heard fowl language. Plus since I live so close I like to walk, I have been turned away at the drive thru simply because I wasn't driving. This morning when we went I ordered gravy that was thin as water. When I got my replacement the gravy was fine. The cook had to of done this on purpose. My hashrounds were so cold but yet she said that she cooked them fresh. Call me crazy but I am pretty sure thats why the fryer has a timer on it. I have also watched at least seven to ten cars leave the drive thru while I stand and wait on my order. They have a window worker and a front line worker. I have spoken to the general manager on several occasion about these issues without any resolution to any of these prevail My next step is corporate office. I have tried to get a job badly here more times then I can count. I am a great workers. But they only seem to hire the friends of the workers. This must end soon. Sincerely, Sandra Williams Jan 3,...
Read moreFood was okay. I bought a loaded burrito and, well, it wasn't loaded at all. It was just about all egg. And I noticed a girl outside messing with trash bins and bags, smoking on a cigarette, comes inside, doesn't wash her hands, doesn't put on gloves, touching everything.. It really bothered me and I was dearly relieved that she was not the one to serve my child and I. Then she goes back outside to change out some signs and as soon as she walks out the door, lights another cigarette and I know without doubt in my soul that she probably didn't wash her hands when she came back inside to mess with more of people's food. It makes me wonder if she washes her hands when she takes a dump in the Hardees bathroom. I believe no one was wearing gloves in this restaurant. I've worked fast food a lot and I get it. Gloves are in the way and annoying. But what's even more annoying is wondering if your poopie particles are in my mouth by eating what you touched because you couldn't even be bothered to wash your hands AND not wear gloves. Please at least wash your hands if you're going to refuse to...
Read moreA Decent Bite, But Be Prepared to Wait at Herrin Hardee's
Hardee's in Herrin offers a consistently good food experience. No complaints there – the meals are always hot and fresh, hitting the spot when you're craving a classic Hardee's burger or breakfast. If you have the time, dining inside is definitely the way to go for a smoother visit.
However, the drive-through is where things get a bit frustrating. Expect an extended wait time, even if there are only a couple of cars, or sometimes no cars at all, ahead of you. It seems like they're perpetually understaffed, and while the workers are clearly doing their best with the resources they have, the bottleneck at the drive-through is a consistent issue. It's a shame, because the quality of the food really is there. If they could just sort out their staffing or drive-through efficiency, this Hardee's would be a much more...
