POSTED ON 10/31/18: RESPONSE TO OWNER: At this time we don't know if or when we will be returning. This is something that should of and could of been corrected at the time it happened, as I requested. This is only getting attention now do to the fact I posted a negative review online. We would like a full refund for the dinner we did not enjoy due to your staff handling this in an unprofessional manner.
POSTED ON 10/30/18: They've lost a two year customer! My husband and I have been coming here for over 2 years. Their Alfredo pasta is what has always brought us back but lately it's what keeps us away! I'm very disappointed. Their Alfredo pasta is so saucy now! I know Alfredo sauce is thick but it looks and taste as they just dumped the bottle of Alfredo in my pasta. The last two times I've gone I've asked for light sauce because the time before that we noticed how much more sauce they're putting now & we didn't like it, which is why we started ordering it with light sauce. But last night we went and ordered it with light sauce again and they brought my husbands pasta with light sauce but mine was super saucy! We told the waitress to see if there was anything that can be done and the cook said no and the lady who sits in the entrance taking calls commented that Alfredo sauce is like that... so why isn't my husbands pasta so saucy? Why was it light on sauce last time when we requested it? Somebody screwed up and they didn't want to fix it. They didn't even apologize or anything! The waitress just brought me the plate and said there's nothing we can do. Seriously?! This is how you treat your regulars? Never coming back here again! I know a couple of people that have come here and have commented to me about the Alfredo pasta being to saucy recently, I now know to tell them not to come back because if you don't like it they won't even offer to fix it, make you another one or take it off your bill! I left more then half my pasta, clearly I didn't like it. Never recommending this...
Read moreI’m not sure what’s going on at Salvatore’s, but I received the worst service and the worst pizza I’ve ever experienced and tasted today in the 25 years I’ve been a loyal customer. I called to place a delivery order and was told they no longer take delivery orders by phone. I explained I wanted to order a half and half pizza and the man who answered the phone explained how to place the order via the website. I followed his instructions but unfortunately they made and delivered the wrong pizza. I called to let them know and as I eas trying to explain what happened, again the same man who answered the phone told me he was very busy at the moment and that I had to wait. He then put me on hold for several minutes. Salvatore’s has always been a busy, bustling place and I had NEVER been spoken to or abruptly placed on hold like that. When it was clear that the man wasn’t coming back to my call, I hung up again and called back. This time a woman answered and after I explained what happened she told me they were busy and she didn’t know what was going on. She then passed the phone to the same man who told me he had three other calls on hold and there’s nothing he can do to help me. He didn’t offer to send me the right pizza or refund my money. So I hung up and am very sad to say I will not be ordering from or visiting Salvatore’s again. After 25 years! They’ve either changed ownership or management. I didn’t recognize either of the people I spoke to. Do better, Salvatore’s, to uphold your reputation!! The pizza I did receive doesn’t taste anything like a true, delicious...
Read moreThere is a scene/monologue in Comedy Central’s Dave Chapelle Show when a day-dream occurred while sitting at a Resturant table and Dave images that Arsenio Hall is at a wine and cheese event. Arsenio is amazed at how good the cheese is, but also angered because no one told him “how good the cheese was.” He was not only angered, but surprised, and joyful; all three emotions at once. His immediate emotional response leads him to slap the the host for not telling him how good the cheese was. That is how I felt the first time I ate at Salvorte. I knew people who ate here, but if only they told me earlier how good the pizza was I wouldn’t have waste my dollars on other so-called Italian pizzerias. I wanted to slap my friends for not telling me how good the food is! I lived in north Italy for 3 years and traversed the Dolomites, climbed Mt Edna in Sicily before it erupted (almost died in a blizzard at the summit) , hung out at the Vatican while listening to the Pope, explored culinary delights in Milan, Bolongia and Lake Como, and celebrated wedding anniversaries on the Italian riviera of Trieste, Venice and the beaches of Bibione. This joint is as authentic as it can gets. The food was so good, But I didn’t slap anyone… because not only was the pizza good, the service even better. The gentleman that owns the spot, is a cool dude and hilarious. Next time I am in the area I am coming back… with...
