Sarussi Cafeteria is one of those local gems in Miami that really delivers on flavor and authenticity. I’ve been here a few times, and each visit reminds me why people recommend it. The food is hearty, satisfying, and full of that classic Cuban comfort we all look for in a cafeteria-style spot. Their sandwiches are the stars of the menu—big, well-stuffed, and full of flavor. The famous Sarussi Original, with its layers of ham, pork, cheese, and special sauce, is definitely worth trying, and it’s big enough to share. Their breakfast options, pastelitos, and Cuban coffee are also excellent—perfect for starting the day on the right note.
Service is quick and friendly, with staff who clearly work hard to keep the line moving, especially during peak hours. The vibe is casual and welcoming, which makes it easy to stop by for a quick meal or even sit down and enjoy. Prices are fair for the quality and portion sizes, and you leave feeling like you got your...
Read moreFor background, we visited Sanguich in little Havana due to rave reviews and recommendations. Even though the sandwiches were good, something was missing. There was no wow factor.
Today, we decided to visit Sarussi, the Hialeah location for comparison. Ordered a 16" Cubano and one 16" sandwich de pierna.
One word... Wow! From the smell to the taste of the bread, delicious! Barnone better than Sanguich in my honest opinion. To top it off, the service was attentive and friendly. Gave us a homey vibe like the one you get when visiting grandma . To close out our delicious meal, we could not leave without trying a coladito and a cortadito. Another wow... That's two wows.
Thank you Sarussi for the delicious meal and attention.
As a consumer aside from delicious food, what I look for the most is service and the overall customer experience. And Sarussi delivered it today.

Read moreI didn't have a good experience today. I stopped by this place and ordered a steak sandwich I told them everything I wanted on my sandwich. I finally received my sandwich it was missing the lettuce I asked for to be included in my sandwich. I went back inside to let them know my lettuce was missing there was a whole debate about adding the lettuce finally they decided to charge me $1 for the lettuce after a customer translated to them in Spanish. Even the customer couldn't believe that they charged me $1 for the lettuce. Not only that they charged me $1 for lettuce the bread on my sanchwich was over toasted I wasted money and threw away the whole sandwich. I will never order from here again I feel like when you don't speak their language they discriminate and treat...
