Read moreMy hun & I ordered some tacos & elote here & phewwww was it NOT good. I usually only rate places I rly love or had not great experiences at. For one, after I ordered the tacos, 1 of the cashiers exits the building & asks me “are you Carly?” I said yes. She said “I’ve been calling your name up there.” She didn’t say it rudely but likeeee if it’s a problem to hear the cashiers saying your name when your food’s done, shouldn’t y’all get some sort of PA/speaker system or something 😭😭 like a cheap mic machine is $100. Once my partner & I got our food, it looked good but once we tried it…the quality just was not there. The tacos were some of the worst I had in my life 😭😭 I’m Mexican & my partner & I live in california. Tiago’s tacos aren’t your typical tacos of course; for instance, the shrimp ones have rice in it but damn, I was rly expecting a lot better flavoring at least. The elote tasted like it was right out of a can. The el pastor meat was wayyy too sweet - I never had el pastor like that. The chicken was the best one but wasn’t anything special. V confused on why this place has 4.7 stars 😭 I wonder if ppl truly do not know what good/great tacos taste like or if my partner & I just got some tacos on a day where the cook was quitting… My partner said some “missing ingredients” was missing & he said that was “love” & “soul” & I couldn’t...
Read moreThis place is authentico! If you like real Mexican food, this is the spot. I had a casa in Mexico (Cabo San Lucas) for almost 10 years. I have tried everything, living on the ocean of coarse I got to eat alot of seafood baja style, amongst more traditional style Mexican. Either way I ate at the nicest, most exquisite restaurants, and I also frequented alot of taco stands (taco mayo) being my favorite, anyways I digress. It's hard to beat good old fashioned down home taco stands. This place is your bare bones taco stand, which I have an affinity for. They did not disappoint. We ate here twice in the last week. I will say I like their fresh tacos a little more than the fried tacos, but they are both Hella dank. We had the fried tacos (birria tacos) the last time we went, (which is what is pictured, we were to hungry the first time to remember to take pics..oops..)we also got the crunch wrap (# fire) and some elotè bowls(street corn). First time we went was taco tuesday($2.50 tacos) and got 5 tacos each (super hungry) and mashed them down no prob. Tried everything from Pollo, alpastor, chorizo, Cameron, and bisteque. Oh and then we got the fried oreo stuffed donuts. Wow, I mean wow, so addictive. So good, 4 real. Go get some, just go easy on them if your trying to keep up that...
