There was a clear communication issue, and the way it was handled was completely unsatisfactory. I went in to get an order corrected and ultimately left without the issue being resolved.
My sister-in-law had ordered a large chicken kebab platter, a lunch pita with fries, and an additional side of fries.
When she picked up the food and got home, she realized the extra order of fries was missing. Instead, there were four random dips or sauces—none of which we ordered. She called the restaurant, and they told her to come back to pick up the missing fries. They also mentioned they had accidentally packaged food meant for a Sunday order with ours—even though it was Friday.
I took the receipt, confirmed that the extra fries were indeed missing, and returned to the restaurant on her behalf. When I arrived, I saw a tall, gray-bearded man wearing a Medibot walking boot speaking with an older Asian woman behind the counter.
Someone asked if I was there to pick up an order. I said, “I’m here to pick up fries missing from an earlier order.” A young woman nearby said, “Yeah, they’re working on your fries right now.” I said, “Okay.”
Then the older woman and the gray-bearded man asked me where the rest of the food was. I explained that it was at home. (No one had said we needed to bring the mistaken food back. And even if they had, bringing food back into a restaurant after it’s been in a customer’s home is generally considered a health code violation, right?)
After I told them the food was at home, they responded, “You should have brought it back. The cost of the food we gave you is worth more than the fries.”
I understand wanting to verify the mistaken order, but why be rude about it—especially when the mistake was theirs in the first place? Maybe they thought they were doing us a favor by giving us more food than we ordered, but the bottom line is: I came to pick up fries that we paid for, and instead, I got attitude.
The young lady did her best to fix the issue, and I appreciate that. Unfortunately, the man in the boot and the older woman provided terrible customer service.
At that point, I didn’t even want the fries anymore and told them to keep them. I went home, grabbed the extra food they had mistakenly given us, returned to the restaurant, and placed it on the counter. I asked the young lady if she could bring the gray-bearded man out to the lobby. He came out, and I told him:
“Here’s your food back. I don’t want the fries anymore. Have a good day.”
If they truly cared about making it right, I would’ve left with the fries—no questions asked. I had my receipt. I wasn’t trying to get anything for free.
It’s unacceptable to treat me disrespectfully and then take offense when the error was yours to begin with.
Whatever half-hearted apology you might post here to save face, you can keep it—because you didn’t have the decency to apologize and make things right when I was...
Read moreTL;DR: Goooo! NOW!:) This place...wowza! Impressed me in the BEST way. For years, I've been hunting for an authentic, delicious, and affordable Mediterranean-style casual restaurant that feels like home. Growing up in Europe, I've struggled to find restaurants that come close to the many amazing experiences I've had with Mediterranean food overseas, especially with doner kebab. I was delighted to see it listed on the menu and was impressed with how it was prepared once it arrived.
Everything about this little gem of a place is fantastic, starting with the welcoming owners and staff. Sabina and Sinem (pictured) were so friendly, kind, informative, caring, and easy to talk to, and the brief glimpses of the kitchen magicians drew an even clearer picture of the love and passion everyone here pours into the food and service. I immediately felt like part of the family.
I took a chance by visiting this restaurant on a brief day trip to Greensboro, and I'm SO GLAD that I did. This is my new food haven anytime I'm in town moving forward. It was really special, and with me celebrating a small personal achievement on this day, it was perfect for the occasion.
As far as the food, I had the doner kebab platter, which came with rice and salad, plus the baklava and tea. EVERYTHING was fabulous. I literally felt transported back to Europe when having my main course, delicious Kapadokia sauce (tzatziki style), the tea (OMG!). And the main star of the show: the baklava...HOLY COW! I've never been a huge baklava fan, but THIS baklava was to die for. All 3 kinds - chocolate pistachio, regular pistachio, and walnut. All 3 were DELICIOUS!
There's complimentary coffee and tea when dining in, and even a sugar alternative for those who need it (I used Splenda). And the menu has plenty of options on it. Parking is free and there's quite a few spots right in front of the restaurant, and the seating area is quaint. Enough for multiple visitors and at least 1 or 2 larger parties.
Thank you to the team for making this such a special visit for and I'm looking forward to coming back again soon! And for those of you reading: GO NOW! It's...

My wife and I were in town for the John Coltrane Jazz Festival and were looking for a fresh healthy lunch, so we took a chance on Kapadokia Grill.
Upon entering we were greeted by the owner, Sabina, who was simply a joy to speak with! After giving us a tour of the menu we decided on several full Mezzes and two Falafel Platters.
Typically I remember to take photos before dining, but we were so amazed by the colors, textures, and flavors of the Mezzes they were gone before it occurred to me 🤦🏻♂️
The Baba Ganoush was incredibly smooth and smoky, without seeds or any hint of bitterness - easily the best I’ve ever had.
The Tabuleh was vibrant, light, and loaded with fresh scallions rather than overloaded with bulgar wheat. Superb in every way.
The Hummus was amazing and earthy, everything you’d want in a beautiful hummus.
The Beetroot Tarator was a new dish for us and another hit, even for me who avoids walnuts at all costs.
Our Falafel Platters, featured in the photo, were OUTSTANDING!!! The rice pilaf had a nice blend of orzo, the pickled cabbage and peppers added a hit of acidity, the pita were fresh and toasted to perfection, but the star of the dish was truly the falafel. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside and perfectly seasoned!
Fresh, filling, and a DELICIOUS across the board. We could not have been happier!!! HIGHLY recommended. You can thank me later and please say hi to...
