I ordered a chai latte and a latte through the drive thru. My bill was just over $10 and I dutifully tapped my card on the screen I couldn't see because the window was too high and the angle the card reader was being held at obscured the screen. I tip in cash so I wasn't worried about it. I asked if I could have the receipt and was told by the barista that there wasn't one but she could print one if I really wanted. I replied, "yes please" and after a minute or so was handed a receipt for just over $15 and change. A $5 tip had been added and when I asked why, the barista just shrugged, smiled, and said sarcastically, "I don't know. I just held the card reader out to you." I replied, "and I just touched my card to the reader," smiled, thanked her, and left.
Not really sure what happened but it didn't feel honest or even apologetic. I've worked a lot of years in the food service and customer service industries and her response to what was probably an accident was disappointing. It felt rude and it made me wonder how many people get tips added "accidentally" to their tabs without noticing because they aren't being given a receipt. Not really a good vibe to send out to customers when opening a new store.
Drinks were the usual quality I have enjoyed from Starbucks stores. Thank you for a tasty treat for me and a friend.
Maybe... don't go to the new location in high point. Ask for a receipt before they close your...
Read moreToday I had my first bad experience and honestly I don't feel like I was valued as a customer. I made a mobile order at 8:05 when I arrive at 8:15 I expected to wait for my order since it was only 10 min that had passed. However when I arrive I saw my turkey sandwich was ready but not my drink. I patiently waited as I watch everyone get their order I notice a walk in person had came and had already gotten their order. Then I notice that everyone that arrive at the same time or had already been standing in line were now gone. It was 08:32 and still no order I then went to the front register and explain I had been waiting and did not receive my order and I just needed to cancel, because by this time I am late for work. She ask me what did I have to drink very casually like it was no biggie that I had been waiting and was overlooked. I had went to give her my order and scan my card for my return so I could get my money back and the items still went to Starbucks gift card. She gave a very nonchalant "sorry about that" and kept it moving. So here I am no coffee , no real refund and then makes matters worst I had to order through uber eats. Which cost me even more money it was just a bad experience all together an item that is normally six dollars cost me almost me 20 bucks because of the store oversight and their was real no...
Read moreI love this place for realâ it is SUCH a shame they have such rowdy customers in the reviews. I come in with my kids everyday and they always ask for cake pops to which the barista at the counter always greets me and says hi and even knows my kids names. The Barista Bella is super kind and knows how to keep up a conversation!! Sheâs super kind and even fought off a rowdy customer for me once⊠she needs a raise!! But seriously though, these crusty customers are freaking crazyâ theyâre complaining on google reviews about how they werenât greeted when they came in and how Starbucks (a luxury expense) costs $7 for a Frappuccino (not even coffee atp.) some people have 0 brain cells and it shows. I come here once a month for my business ventures with my husband and every time the drinks are consistent and delicious. I canât fathom how perfect this place is. Honestly? Every Starbucks in the high point area is just great!!
Signing off, Muriel (P.S: I...
