Everytime I've attempted to go here it has been the worst experience ever! The staff is unprofessional, wait times are unrealistic and this will be the last time I go here! I accidentally called Beyond Juice to complain and I'm happy to announce they are treating me for my poor experience at Tropical Smoothie! The manager here is clearly confused what professional means and I will NEVER come back here again! Such a shame this place gives Tropical Smoothie a really bad rep.
The "manager" when I went to place my order through the drive-thru didn't say "Hi welcome to Tropical Smoothie!" they said "Hey." then when I asked a question about something on the menu you could hear they were goofing around and clearly not taking their job seriously. I had to ask if anyone was actually taking my order and didn't say anything about pulling up. I felt like they had spit in my food when I had it handed to me. I felt so uncomfortable and felt so poorly treated for literally just being hungry enough to stop there knowing last time I had to leave because the line didn't move and I had to get my son to football. The time before this, I waited forever only for them to totally mess up my order and asked for me to resubmit it after waiting in their unrealistic long line. I left. This time, the service was so rude that I thought they had spit in my food. The "manager" was completely unprofessional (pink hair, questionable gender)

Read moreLive down the road and stopped by to get the new Bahama Bowl. I asked the gentlemen helping me in the drive through what's the difference between the Yogurt and that bowl was, and he mentioned the BB had more of a smoothie base ( which I had them in the past elsewhere so that made sense).
I drove home and it was completely frozen where I couldnt eat it. No big deal, drove back to see about a refund or something else and that's when I was told that's how they come. I went back and forth with the manager explaining to him that nowhere does it say frozen, in fact it says fresh. (What if I were dinning in, would I just sit there until it thawed? ) He tried gaslighting, saying all Acai bowls come frozen anywhere I order them, not sure why I'm complaining, or what I expect him to do about it. It's a corporate issue, not his. He can't help with a refund or exchange either. I brought up the convo I had with the guy in the drive thru ( he was extremely nice), and the manager stated he said it was "like a Smoothie" not actually the consistency of one", which made no sense.
I asked for his name several times ( they dont wear name tags) before he gave it to me ( Jacob) and said he was the GM.
Overall super surprised by the level of service and quality. However, looking at other reviews it's a known complaint through corporate ( frozen bowls) just would imagine as a Franchise they'd handle this a lot better. Can easily go to Leos...
Read moreGave them several chances before finally leaving a review. There must be no oversight by management at this location. We waited 22 mins for two smoothies and I just don’t see the value in spending $18 for two mediocre sugar filled drinks served up by employees who obviously don’t care. (That’s prior to the forced tip request on checkout whether drive-through or inside pickup) Props to the smoothie making guy, he was trying, but the woman who runs the register and makes sandwiches obviously didn’t care at all. Did not even a knowledge incoming guests. This place is incredibly poorly managed and I will never step foot in this location again. There’s a reason they are a 3.2/5.0 on google, folks. Do yourself a favor and go to Kroger and spend $50 on quality ingredients that you can use to make smoothies...
