I don't know what is going on with this place but it has been going downhill for a while. We were given parmesan cheese that was moldy in the container. This is the second time this has happened at this restaurant which is why I knew to look at the container before using it. Both times, the servers and managers barely acknowledged this issue. There was no apology and definitely no offer to, perhaps, take a drink off the bill. Giving customers moldy food is something that warrants at least an apology. Our order tonight consisted of bread sticks. We asked for butter, but were not told (it's also not mentioned on the menu) there is a charge of $1.50 for the butter. Our waitress only brought us 5 pads of butter initially for 2 orders of bread sticks (there were 4 of us) and then we had to flag her down to get more. So in addition to getting moldy cheese, they also nickel and dimed us for butter. Service was also poor. We ordered our drinks from one waitress, 5 minutes later another waitress had to come ask us again what our drink order was and 5 minutes after that we finally got drinks from a third waitress. We were not offered refills. The restaurant was also filthy. The window I sat next to has a pretty wide shelf that was covered in dust and cobwebs and 2 dead flies. I predict this place will be closed in a year or less, which is fine, because I will never be going back. Update: the same flies were still there. It's like eating dinner with...
Read moreWe certainly won't be coming back to the Comeback Inn. Ordered the NY Strip cooked medium and 1/2 of the steak was completely raw. Not medium rare, not rare... raw. The waitress insisted on giving a discount (because it was clearly uncooked) even though I said it wasn't necessary. Minutes later she came back and said there would be no discount because I ate 1/2 of the steak. Apparently I should have cut the entire steak up into pieces before I started eating... Just to make sure that their chef knows how to cook a steak. The baked potato was barely warm (I never even mentioned that) and the rest of our meals were sub-par to average. Service was also poor and generally inattentive, until they insisted on staring at us with a rude glare as we exited (despite the fact that we were kind in spite of their poor food and service). Great place to have a mediocre-at-best meal, cruddy service, and be forced listen to unnecessarily loud country music. Apparently it was "Singing Chefs" Night. Cooking Chefs Night would have been a...
Read moreMarch 9 , 4:15 pm, Early dinner time round 20 guests in the house, bar fully occupied. We seated ourselves what I like, they have nice booths and plenty tables. Danielle is the manager and she served us. Very polite and not over the top being nice to get higher tips. She gave us enough time to make a choice and came very quickly with our drinks, enough choices on the beers 🍺, and they have Coke products, i ordered the rueben that comes with fries and a pickle, my wife had the sweet potatoes with their special sauce that I also wanted with my fries. These are great sweet potatoes and the fries are hot and crispy. My Reuben tasted like a Reuben should. Danielle is really nice to her customers again not overly reacting, like some waitresses can do, but she did call us honey ( lol). So if you want to have some great food and drinks at a nice American style Bar/Restaurant then go here, you won't regret it. 5 🌟 worth giving. Enjoy. Thanks again for the...
