THE WORST PIZZA I'VE EVER HAD. $30 IN THE TRASH.
If I could give this place 0 stars, I would in a heartbeat because of the following reasons: the wait time, the customer service, and ESPECIALLY the food quality.
My boyfriend and I had just driven 12 hours and finally got to our hotel. We saw that Zeppe's was still open (still an hour still before they closed) and decided to order 2 pizzas for delivery. It cost about $30 for 2 personal (9-in) pizzas, which was already ridiculous but we were starving so it was alright. I got the margarita and my boyfriend got the chicken Philly. It took almost TWO HOURS for the pizza to be delivered. Zeppe's was 1.2 miles from our hotel!
After 1 hour and 15 minutes had passed, I called Zeppe's to see if they were still going to deliver our pizzas. They had closed by now so we weren't sure if the pizzas were even going to get made. After 3 calls, finally someone answered and I was told very curtly that my pizzas were on their way. I was then pretty much hung up on.
AN HOUR AN 45 MINUTES LATER we finally got our pizzas. We were thinking that they were just really busy (it was a Sunday night) and the reviews were SO amazing so we were still pretty excited. We open up the pizza boxes and they look really gross. We know appearance isn't everything and I was so hungry I could have honestly eaten anything in that moment. I took a bite and almost spit it out. It was COLD as if it had been sitting out for HOURS. The pizza had almost no sauce and the mozzarella was completely hard because it was sitting out for so long.
We both got the "zig-zag" crust even though we asked for thin crust. This crust was definitely the worst part of the entire pizza. This crust tasted (and felt) like actual cardboard. I don't mean like "oh it tasted like cardboard." I mean it actually tasted like I was eating a thick paper-like substance.
Needless to say, we threw both the pizzas away. I honestly can say this is the worst $30 I have ever spent on anything in my life. A huge...
Read moreFrom the moment I walked into this Zeppe's Pizzeria, I knew I'd be taken care of very well! They instantly greeted me with enthusiastic friendly faces and warm welcomes. I knew what I wanted to order, the Chicken Broccoli Alfredo because it's so good and fuels my triathlon training very well! I also love their Spinach Salad with their walnuts, tomatoes, hard-boiled eggs, and bacon! I would have gotten one of their mouth-watering pizzas but I was anxiously awaiting their delicious pizzas for a conference they were catering for my work! Best day at work ever! We had the California Pizza, Deluxe Pizza, and a dog bone shaped pizza (appropriately called "The Dawg Bone Pizza") that you can build with whatever toppings you want! It was perfect since we are all dog lovers and Cleveland Browns fans! As a courtesy to Zeppe's, I placed this catering order a couple days in advance so they could properly serve their many other customers and have time to make our food and it worked out PERFECTLY! Zeppe's even delivered it right when we needed them to and their drivers are so friendly and carried the food in and set it up right where we asked them! I am using Zeppe's Pizzeria again and again for ALL our friends and family parties, work functions, and just when I want some delicious food made by people who actually care about you and your satisfaction with their service! Very thrilled about this Zeppe's Pizzeria in Highland Heights on the northwest corner of Bishop Rd and...
Read moreSince moving to Euclid about three years ago from the west side, my wife and I have been looking for a local pizza place nearby our home that not only did pizza well, but also wings both regular and boneless, as well as good fried bits and sandwiches. This wasn't a problem when living in Lakewood. There were good pizza places that hit all those marks and delivered (shout out to our go-to Roman Fountain). While Zeppe's doesn't deliver to us (almost no place IN Euclid or nearby do except Rascal House & Guys) they check off all the other marks and are only about 3 miles away.
Their pizza is all around superb, their regular wings are excellent and their boneless wings are big and respectable, the sandwiches are solid, and their fried appetizers are a real treat too.
The staff is always nice, though no matter what time I come to pick up my order, it almost never is ready when I get there. Normally, it is a short wait, but once or twice it has bordered on the absurd, however, I have a feeling business is good and they are understaffed. Besides, the food is fresh and worth the wait. If it wasn't, I'd stop patronizing the establishment.
Overall, this is local pizza done right and that's what keeps me coming back and glad to have found a good, reliable...
