The wife and I tried this place on a whim a few months ago, and oh my goodness was it one of our best decisions ever!!! We eat here once a week at least now, the food is that good! The owners, Margarita and Pancho, are the sweetest people and they and their staff provide exceptional friendly service from the moment you walk in the door to when you leave! Everything we've eaten there has been delicious, though a few stand outs are the pozole, albondigas, chile verde plate, enchiladas, and the chile relleno burrito (try it wet, you'll thank me for suggesting it). My wife's parents grew up in Mexico and brought their family recipes with them when they emigrated, but we've never found a restaurant where the food tastes like my wife's mother is in the kitchen until we came here. If you're looking for a restaurant where you feel like you're visiting family and eating homemade authentic Mexican dishes, you have to give this spot a try! As a bonus, the soups are all very chemotherapy friendly, which has been wonderful for my wife on...
Read moreI live out of the area and I stopped by and ordered a breakfast burrito. Which had egg, potato, bacon, cheese and no beans. Paid over $12 after tax for it. I get it home and bit into it and noticed that the potatoes weren't cooked all the way. But, what was more concerning was the the bacon was spoiled and not cooked all the way. I called the restaurant and asked to speak with a manager. They told me that they don't have a manager and that the owner is only there in the morning. I told them why I was calling and even told them that I don't live in the area. They asked me what I want them to do, and that I had to go back to the restaurant if I want my money back. I honestly just wanted to speak with the owner and they wouldn't give me their number. Because, of this experience I will never go back nor would I recommend them to others. I'm probably going to...
Read moreMexican restaurants in SoCal are as common as pizzerias in NYC. What isn't common is the level of high quality dishes coming out of the kitchen in this restaurant. I've eaten here several times in the past few weeks and have always had an excellent meal. Breakfasts of machaca and eggs, omelettes and many other items have been excellent. Today I enjoyed a large bowl of cocido (beef soup) loaded with chunks of tender beef and many vegetables - just what I needed on a cold, rainy day. Additionally, you'll enjoy the wonderful and cheerful service from your server. Don't hesitate, come enjoy excellent meal here. The restaurant is spotlessly clean and it's always a pleasure...
