The Buffalo chicken nachos are extremely disappointing. There wasn't enough cheese to cover the chips. The only toppings available were cheese, Buffalo sauce, and chicken. There were no: olives, tomatoes, nor jalapeños. The steak and shrimp special was extremely disappointing. The quality of the steak was on par with a Denny's steak. The side of green beans arrived as everyone was done eating. The Ceaser Salad was made with ice berg lettuce instead of the traditional romaine lettuce. The salad was missing more than a few traditional items: croutons, parmesean cheese, and romaine lettuce. The spinach bacon salad was fantastic. The loaded baked potato was disappointing. It only had bacon. The cheese, butter, and sour cream were very sparse or completely absent. Service was rather slow and the wait for the food was longer than acceptable.

Outside seating was great and the service was pretty good. The food is a bit overpriced for what you get. I thought the teriyaki wings were nothing special; off the shelf kind of glaze drizzled/poured over (not shaken/complete coverage). The fried mushrooms were decent, but either overpriced or under-served (smaller portions). The cod was fairly basic, with the potatoes probably being the best part of the meal. Finally, my brown ale was "freshly tapped", but was flat as could be. Overall, I wouldn't recommend it, but it's always worth a one time to see if you possibly have a different experience. I might go back to see how the brown ale is with some actual carbonation. I could be bias, but I feel like you can see how flat the beer is.

Ordinarily I don’t leave highly critical reviews, but our experience last night warrants one.

  1. My boyfriends draft beer was flat, but he didn’t have a chance to ask for a new one because our server didn’t return to the table for long enough that he decided to drink it before it was flat AND warm.

  2. I ordered a salad as a side with my meal and it took 45 minutes to come out

  3. It took another 20-30 minutes for our entrees to arrive, and my boyfriends burger was lukewarm. He asked for ketchup but it took so long for the server to return with ketchup that he decided to eat his food before it was cold.

  4. When we finally got our bill we had been at the restaurant for nearly an hour and 45 minutes. We paid with a credit card and when the check came back to sign, the total was increased. After reading the fine print we discover it’s because there is a 3.5% fee when cards are used. Times are tough, we get it. But seriously?

Independently, none of these issues would be worth mentioning. However, we have noticed over the past several months the quality of service and food portions have both diminished.

It was clear that our server was stretched thin, as she had the entire bar area as well as tables on the patio, so I can’t fault her for poor staffing. However, there were multiple staff members (including the owners) sitting at the bar receiving much more prompt service. As patrons, when you see the owners of the establishment watching staff members drown while sitting at the bar drinking instead of jumping in to help, it says a lot.

As a former service industry worker, I can say first hand that I am understanding of mistakes and service flaws. But this...

I'm from out of town and visit this area a lot lately. I wanted to find a place that had good steaks and good food locally. I was disappointed at the seating, it was really busy that day and chaotic. There was no seats available and when one did open up, we couldn't get waited on.

When we finally got a waitress, she was very polite and accommodating but very scatterbrained and kept forgetting about our table ( not her fault though, they did not have enough wait staff for the customer volume). The beer selection was pretty good and I found a few good wines. I got the fried pickle appetizer and they are the best I've ever had! They are Cajun style, very flavorful and a little heat.

My husband and I were looking for a good steak, we both ordered steak. The steak was disgusting and not edible. They were maybe 1/2 inch thick and tasted like rubber. The meat was very poor quality and very disappointing. We did not eat our meals. Our daughter's kids meal was edible and she seemed happy.

My advice, sick to burgers... This place shouldn't serve steak. We have not been back since to try the other food...

I’m from out of state and working in Illinois for the month and was looking for a good lunch spot. Honestly unbelievable, I sat down and waited 15 min for someone to greet me and clean off my table. After I got my menu they still didn’t even clean the table off. She comes back and asks what would you like? Can you clean my table off please for the third time. I have worked in many restaurants before even if you are understaffed you take care of everyone. Why wouldn’t management be in helping if you are short staffed, it doesn’t make any sense. Lead from the front and attention to detail is key. I finally ordered after nearly 30 min. I ordered a sandwich and a salad. The sandwich came out with missing ingredients, with barely any chicken, and it was just awful presentation. If you have paninis available, make paninis not lightly toasted sandwiches. I’m working here for the month. I will...
