West Hillsborough Pizzeria — Restaurant in Hillsborough

I accidentally deleted my first review trying to fix my writing because I am not very good with tech and type bad so I'm going to say my thoughts this time to my phone to type. I don't remember everything I had before but here goes it anyway I am a long time local and regular customer here and I have been coming to this place since it opened before the new owners got it and I often come with my family. My daughter's son in my grandkids and my sister and I come in a lot and sometimes her grandkids too and I have noticed some bad reviews on this place and I feel like I should balance them out with my own review. My review is overdue I should have posted one before but I don't usually leave reviews online because I don't like having my name online This place has good food and good people and the service staff are personable and authentic and try their best it is a small business with not a lot of staff local owned and ran by passionate people who really care about their community this restaurant and the owners have done good things for the Hillsborough Community The service is not the best don't expect fine dining it can be slow but it is worth it it's a good place to come to just enjoy time with others with good drinks and good food they have a nice patio outside although the seating is a little tight Don't expect Pizza Hut speed or quality it is significantly better food and slower paste sometimes they make mistakes they're not perfect but the staff and Management try very hard to make it right when mistakes do happen This place gets pretty busy and it's a small building with small staff without much staff you get to know them and they're good Folk The drinks are really good my daughter used to be a bartender and really enjoys them there are two or three bartenders I see there usually on Tuesdays and Fridays the man with the beard or the lady with long braids It is also very friendly to people with extra challenges like us old folk people who use Walkers or wheelchairs or also to my grandson who is 14 with low functioning autism though when it's busy it could be too much for him but I know there are options available for us if he needs it if we ask they have different specials at different times that are very good and unique we find ourselves wishing some of them were not specials they have pizza and burger or sandwiches specials and salads sometimes and very yummy desserts two The other reviews say that service is slow and bad but I don't think so I think service is reasonable for the environment this is not a fast and loose kind of pizza place it's a place to come and hang out with your family or your friends and have some good food and believe it or not the staff is human and mistakes happen if you come for as often and as long as I do they are bound to happen but they do well and fix them as best they can I hope they stay around for a long time and this remains an available staple to Hillsborough for a long time the community appreciates the efforts the wait staff and the kitchen of the West...

Hillsborough Pizzeria has amazing food — the pizza is always fresh, perfectly crisp, and loaded with flavor. But what really made our visit special was the bartender (wish I got his name!) with the awesome sleeve tattoo. Super friendly, welcoming, and clearly knows how to mix a great drink. He made us feel right at home and recommended a cocktail that was honestly one of the best I’ve had in a long time. Just a genuinely cool person with great energy.
