My group of 3 had a fantastic time playing golf at Heron Point. The golf course, bag drop, cart staff, pro shop, and beverage cart ladies were exceptional. When we finished our round, the guys who washed our clubs and took them to the bag drop told us to go to the restaurant and order the Blonde Ales for the $2 scorecard special.

We decided that we’d sit on the deck and finish our current beers. After sitting down for 10 minutes, the hostess and a server brought us menus and napkins with silverware; they didn’t pressure us or offer anything except for wonderful service. We informed them that we were just finishing our beers and were about to leave to go eat somewhere else. We actually ended up ordering 3 of the “scorecard special” blonde ales and an appetizer; the pretzel sticks. Once again, the service from our server was spectacular, as well as the food. He brought us our tab, which was 450% more than what we were told. After chatting with our server, he went to talk with the manager. The manager came out to talk with us and offered a solution with instructions for future visits. Unfortunately, she dismissed me, and offered a minuscule solution to the miscommunication. She mentioned that she would send and email to the bag staff about the post round specials and made it seem like it was our fault. I left with a distaste in my mouth feeling like there was a bait and switch going on.

To be clear, the golf course and their staff from start to finish was exceptional. Our server, the hostess, and food was exceptional. The manager dropped the ball. The money or dollar amount was not the issue; we just wouldn’t have sat down and ordered beers and food if we knew what would happen. Unfortunately, we have two more days of golf to go at the resort, but we won’t stay after our round for post-beers and fun after either round.

We have thoroughly enjoyed our time so far and look forward to the world-class golf to ensue over the next couple of days. I recommend the golf and service to anyone. I don’t recommend ordering anything, unless you clearly communicate the expectation up front. I would have rather “tipped” the wait staff the difference of the full price; the gentleman taking care of us...

Updated: Management reached out to me after my initial review and have gone above and beyond to make things right, proving that my bad experience was a fluke and not the norm. I appreciate the efforts and have amended my review. Good job, Sea Pines management team!

Feels odd writing a review considering I didn't get to eat here, but here we are. Made a reservation online for an early 5:15pm dinner, pretty easy process. Arrived a few minutes early, so the table (outside) wasn't ready yet - no problem, we're happy to wait, completely understandable. The greeter then seated us, handed us our menus... and then the wait. Our server (I presume - spoiler alert: never met him) was talking to the table next to ours, I figured he'd stop by and say hi maybe, tell us he'll be right with us. Nope. After about 15-20 minutes without even being acknowledged, my dining partner went up to the greeter to let her know our situation. She apologized and said she'd send the server our way. Ten minutes later the server showed up and asked the table next to ours how things were, if everything was okay. They said everything was fine, and he disappeared. At that point, thirty minutes in without even being acknowledged, without so much as even getting a glass of water, I gave up all hope and we walked out. Plus side - the golf course views were very nice (since we got to see them, uninterrupted, for over...

How very disappointed we were in the level of service we received this past Saturday night. Normally, I don't like to leave a bad review especially when I have had a good experience in the past but this visit was so bad that I want others to be aware before spending their money at Fraser's Tavern. Our first few experiences in November were wonderful so we decided that we wanted to spend the last night of our time away at Fraser's. I understand that is was a busy Saturday evening, however 15 minutes to even be acknolwedged by our server seemed like a ridiculous amount of time to wait. When our server finally greeted us, we ordered our drinks and food as we had plenty of time to decide on our order. We wouldn't see her again until we had finished our meal- which was incorrect. After our food was dropped at the table, no one even came by so that we could tell them that part of our order had been left off and my son's pasta was not prepared correctly. Our water was never refilled. I am aware that we weren't her only customers and probably weren't spending as much as her other tables but to feel completely ignored is not how any customer should feel in...

Fraser’s is such a beautiful restaurant that is a must visit on HHI! The location on the golf course just breeds relaxation, and the breeze and entire atmosphere add to the perfection of it. The espresso martini was the absolute best I have enjoyed anywhere, the Fitzy burger was so juicy, flavorful, and delicious, and the coleslaw, fries, and salads were fresh and tasty. Furthermore, I am a full time manual wheelchair user and have a service dog, and the entire restaurant, including the outside patio and restrooms, were accessible. There are a few small bumps in doorways, but they’re completely doable. The restaurant staff were welcoming and respectful of my service dog, and were willing to help me in any way needed. The general manager, Will, was exceptionally kind, polite and friendly to us as patrons, and I truly can’t recommend Fraser’s enough! I look forward to visiting again.

This place has a great view of the golf course from the porch and is wonderful for an evening drink and small plates. We enjoyed watching the alligators in the water hazard. However, on our arrival for dinner, the hostess at the stand seemed unable to determine if they had or would have a table. So we got a few drinks from the bar while they sorted it. We were finally seated and ordered our dinner. Our food was mediocre at best. In fact, my daughter became quite ill. When I checked on her in the ladies room, someone else was also ill. Not a good impression. Meanwhile, it had gotten dark, the bugs had come out and our waiter was nowhere to be found. It was okay, but no where near the build-up. It's all about the location.

Dining Experience at Fraser’s Tavern We enjoyed a delightful evening on the veranda, where we had a stunning view of the golf course. The highlight of our meal was undoubtedly the prime rib, which I highly recommend—it's a Saturday night specialty that should not be missed. The ambiance was perfect, complemented by attentive service that made our experience even more enjoyable. With an exceptional menu offering a variety of delectable dishes, it’s clear that the chef has a real talent for creating delicious meals. Overall, this restaurant delivers a fantastic dining experience. Kudos to the team for a job well done!
