Oh my goodness, that was maybe the âbestestâ ice cream in the world...
..well some of the tops in frozen desserts definitely done right in Northeast Ohio!
On the northern boundary of Hinckley and southern border of North Royalton at the southeast corner of Boston Road and West 130th Street sits Zâs Cream & Bean.
This area is great for outdoor recreation, and Zâs is the place to rejuvenate your energy sources with ample choices, seating, & parking. Zâs has a cafĂ© style and casual cabin character. Everything shouts new, clean, pleasant experience for any couples, families, or groups of friends.
Zâs has so many options to choose from, but itâs not overwhelming. The service is helpful and happy. We tried Zâs Homemade Raspberry Chocolate Chip Ice Cream, which was flavorful, luscious, and rich. Zâs Expresso Chocolate Shakes were deliciously easy to down, reinvigorating, and smooth. Zâs Vanilla Rootbeer Floats were made with Zâs creamy, sweet Homemade Vanilla and tasty A & W Root Beer.
Everything was presented well. I would recommend scanning the freezers filled with Zâs ice cream pints or quarts and cakes or cookies, if you donât find your particular selection behind the counter. I would even recommend taking a pint or quart to go, if you dine in to savor only some coffee or soups. On this trip, our family of 4 had several frozen treats all for under $25. The prices were very reasonable. On a next visit, I am curious to try Zâs own soft serve âBuzzardâ with the toppings swirled...
Read moreI used to enjoy visiting Z's with my family. Their ice cream was (and probably still is) outstanding. I don't mind paying a bit more for good quality and service. However, we had a very poor experience yesterday which has soured me on this place for the foreseeable future. When we walked into the empty restaurant, none of the half-dozen employees behind the counter bothered to greet us. They were distracted by something going on with the drive-through and declined to acknowledge us as we stood at the register, waiting to place our order. One employee, an older lady, who had been rude and unfriendly during a previous visit, muttered "hang on" and moseyed between the cashiers' stations, tapping the computer screens. We continued to wait. I finally asked one of the other employees, "Should we come back later?" Embarrassed, she responded something about computer trouble. We waited another minute, without any acknowledgment or apology, before leaving the store. No one attempted to speak to us or convince us to stay. Every place has technical difficulties sometimes, and having to wait for ice cream is certainly not a big deal. But it's apparent that Z's doesn't care about their customers and doesn't want my business. Next time, I will be taking my family to one of the other excellent ice cream places...
Read moreThe original owner of Z's, was the very best and top notch, the atmosphere was kind and welcoming . Unfortunately I was unaware of this new ownership now and I am saddened to say it is no longer a place I will be going and taking my family
Tonight I experienced extremely rude young workers at the window "apparently asking for your credit card back after you received your ice cream is irritating to a teenager " she had my card for over 5 min. I was nice to this older lady who handed me my ice cream and just said can I have my card back, she then asked this younger worker for my card and this younger worker snapped at the women and the women said " dont get mad at me shes the one asking for her card" then the younger worker rolled her eyes at me"
I was so upset by the interaction I called and spoke to the so called manager who basically didn't care
If the company that owns z's sees this...
