El Tucan Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Hinckley

I make it a point in my travels to find the local spot for fajitas, and this is IT! Generally by the time my tortillas are gone, there is just a pile of vegetables left on the skillet. I ordered the steak, chicken, shrimp, and chorizo fajitas and that's what was left on my plate still ...meat. I actually wouldn't complain if they served a little bit more onion and peppers with the meal. My meal was fabulous, the rice was fresh, the pico tasted good, everything was seasoned well. My only complaint is the service, I say at the bar, where everyone working had to walk past me and it was 5+ minutes before anyone even talked to me. It really wasn't very busy either...the food alone is worth 5 starts and id gladly wait longer for another plate. I can only imagine rest of the menu ideas good and I plan...

I am updating my review based on my most recent experience. I had previously given a five-star rating because the food was exceptional. This establishment was once my favorite restaurant in the area. While I consistently enjoyed my orders for a period, approximately a year ago, there were some subtle changes, such as the food being less flavorful or missing essential ingredients. Now, having ordered for the first time since May, my order was entirely different. The chipotle sauce on top of the burrito was unexpectedly very spicy, the meat was dry and tough, and the less flavorful ingredients inside the burrito were noticeably reduced compared to my previous...

5 stars based on price; location and service. Of course the menu is the stuff that sells well in a Minnesota town. Lots of tasty ingredients wrapped in flour tortillas and covered in different sauces. But also a good menu of various other dishes and some pretty bomb looking mexican tacos.. Fish tacos looked like the ones I used to get in mayto, jalisco. I gotta try them when I come back!!
