This was perhaps one of the worst meals we have ever had. Our server was very nice but that is where nice ended. Starting when we were seated under the bright florescent orange light hanging on the wall over our table, I had a feeling. It felt like the scene in Seinfeld when the all night fried chicken place opened up across from Kramers apartment. Everything was orange ! The menu, the food, my company. Then the food. The sign on the outside says "Homemade Italian Food" The only thing that was homemade was nothing. I had the veal parm, it was like shoe leather with a thick dry breadcrumb crust. The sauce was tasteless and the ziti was cold and almost still crunchy. The eggplant parm was the same only drier. My wife ordered the shrimp scampi which was tasteless. It appears they used some butter substitute and there was no garlic in the sauce. They charged us and extra dollar to substitute spaghetti for the ziti. The pasta is not cooked to order . Is that homemade ? No. It looks like they just don't get it. They won't...
Read moreWhenever we’re craving Italian food, Comella’s in Hingham is the first place that comes to mind—and for good reason. The food is consistently delicious, the portions are generous, and the staff couldn’t be nicer.
On our most recent visit, I had the Chicken Broccoli Alfredo and my wife ordered the lasagna. Both dishes were superb. The Alfredo was creamy and rich without being too heavy, and the chicken was cooked just right. The lasagna? Absolute comfort food—layered with flavor, cheesy goodness, and a hearty red sauce that brought it all together.
The vibe inside the restaurant is warm and welcoming. It’s casual, clean, and perfect for a quick bite or a laid-back family dinner. The staff was incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in.
Whether it’s a spontaneous weeknight dinner or we’re just in the mood for some solid Italian comfort food, Comella’s always hits the spot. Highly recommend it if you’re...

Very disappointed. I went in and order Chicken Parm with Fusilli and extra cheese. The woman pointed out the sizes, and I asked the price and thought it was reasonable for 3-4 people. I also bought 2 cookies.
I didn't have the app and tried to use the coupon. The girl was willing to try but couldn't. I accepted that.
I got the container home, and there was NO chicken. The woman then l on the phone said she didn't hear me order it. I was NOT happy. I never would spend $38 on pasta. I can boil that at home.
Very disappointed. Because she signed offer any records for her not gettong my order right. At least provide chicken, and I'd dive back to get it.
I won't be back.

Never disappointed. Best eggplant and chicken parm. Italian gravy is the closest to aunt's homemade I have ever tasted. Portions overflow! Clean, friendly and accommodating staff, and...
