1/11/2020 Tonight for some reason, the take out food was just not that good at all. Normally when we do take out or eat in here , the food is great and flavorfull. Everything we ordered for take out was not up to par like it usually had been. There was no flavor to it at all. It's almost like when you go to a place you like all the time and then when you eat , you say to yourself this must be a different cook or something.The food tasted like it would taste as if you had left overs and re heated the food the next day. Bland as could be. Maybe they changed the cook ? Maybe the cook is on vacation ? Maybe the cook has left for better pasteurs and more money ? who knows ! we are disappointed to the point that it was enough for us to start looking for a new chinese restaurant. Food and service is awesome at this local Chinese restaurant on 3a in Hingham. Not fancy on the outside but clean, friendly.. even if you want to have lunch/dinner sit at the bar or not, and play Keno. Extremely welcoming and diverse crowd. Locals from 21 -80s, all just enjoying excellent Chinese food and the amazing Bartender Connie. I sit in awe as she know everyone's name in the place and for mewcomers, she immediately introduces herself. This is in no way to say the other staff is less. They all together make for a hidden gem where you can have great drinks, reasonably priced food and get this.... they make their crab Rangoons and egg rolls from scratch. Absolutely the worst Chinese food we have ever had. It was New Year’s Eve and the place was busy, of course. We ordered some vegetable fried rice general tso chicken which came out as orange chicken and it was awful. Just breaded chunks with tiny little pieces of chicken hidden somewhere inside with an orange sauce that tasted gross. The eggroll was OK but overall, this place is horrible, dirty silverware, dirty dishes on the table. The floor was dirty. The place smelled funny. We only went because it was about the only place open. If you want good Chinese food don’t go here. Worst Chinese food we’ve ever had. $50 for crappy food. Will never go back...
