Read moreSunday, Fathers Day..I make an online reservation and confirm. Arrive at location and told it would only be about 10 minutes. With-in 8 minutes we were told to go to hostess desk to be seated. All was great up to that point. We, my husband and myself were seated at a booth, on the table sat only a salt and pepper shaker, no menu's, nothing else. After sitting for 15 minutes my husband goes to the hostess desk to inform them that no one has been at are table to take drink order and to give us menu's. Mean while, in the same area as we are a table of 7 people are seated, with-in minutes a server was at there table taking drink orders and placing knife and forks. 10 minutes later a server comes to us and ask if we would like something to drink and he would be back with menu's. We gave him our drink order and told him we did not need menu's for we already knew what we would order. He takes out a piece of paper and writes our order down on it. 10 minutes later, drinks are brought to us. Mean while, party of 7 have had their salads and appetizers brought to them. We are now 35 minutes into sitting there and only thing we have received was drinks. I forgot to mention when we were being seated my husband selected a steak from the meat case that he wanted. Gave him half a ticket and placed the other half on the steak in the case. Fast forward, 40 minutes later server comes over and tells us that he is just waiting on the meat to come off grill and it would be just a few minutes longer. Table of 7, food is being served. At this point we are 54 minutes into sitting, I got up to use the restroom and thought I would go and see if steak my husband had selected was still in meat case, BINGO, still sitting there. So much for waiting for it to come off of the grill. Sat for 10 minutes more and got up and left. Husband spoke with manager as I walked out. I'm actually surprised due to the fact that this is the only steak place we choose to eat at but due to the service we received I can assure you we will never return. Very disappointing Texas Roadhouse, you have caused us to loose all respect for your...
Read moreAs part of my Birthday celebration I decided to keep it simple and go to Texas Roadhouse as I usually genuinely enjoy their food and atmosphere. I’ll also say this was my first visit to this location and I had high hopes. The moment we walked in a I was the first one in the lobby and I approached the counter and there was a caucasian family behind me that approached on the other side. I clearly get to the counter first but she proceeded to disregard me and speak to them with a smile and warm welcome. I noticed but I’m patient person and didn’t see a reason to allow it to upset me until I noticed her entire disposition changed when she turned to me losing her smile and saying “name”. I’m not the kind of person always looking to detect racism but it was so obvious that even my family that was watching said they noticed it before I even had the chance to mention it. It bothered me the entire time because it’s not the experience that I’d be accustomed to and I felt it was so blatant that I needed to share with management. After paying, I asked my server to get the manager and she approached soon after. She didn’t greet or anything she looked as if we were bothering her to begin with, I share my experience and she said she was sure it unintentional and there was no reason to think anything differently. I told her she obviously didn’t care and she said “ hope to see you back next time” smiling sarcastically. I had to call back in to get her name which is Natalia, she showed me why the hostess felt she could share her prejudice and ruin this experience for us. As a manger she didn’t apologize for the experience or simply just reassure me she would follow up to ensure that wasn’t the case, she simply labeled my experience as a mis-interpretation of intention. As a customer I’m not reading intention just simply sharing my experience. My initial concern isn’t in the host being discriminatory but rather that she chose to work where she knew black guest also come. If they don’t appreciate hearing about your experience, they don’t deserve...
