Denny's — Restaurant in Hobbs

Place is good, clean, our server was good, but she could of used some help from other staff. My family went there for dinner seemed she was the only server there. There was a Male host and another female employee that didn't seem very helpful. Stood at their breakfast bar to ask for a box to go, server was busy tending to other tables as she got busy. Those employees saw me standing there didn't seem to care or even ask if I need anything while they saw server was busy. There were other tables that were asking for the server and other employees saw this and didn't seem to offer any help. Never got a box was too tired of waiting. But I suggest that if a server is super busy other employees should be more helpful this makes the customer experience a little more pleasant especially if they see server is busy with other tables or at least help take food out. Our food ended up being a little cold also we saw it sitting on the warmer for a long time as server was tending to other customers. Employees still didn't seem to want to help. We ate at the Hobbs Denny’s for the second time since it reopened. Again we were very pleased when we left. With things being the way they are these days there was something different: They’ve had to add a surcharge if you order eggs with your breakfast meal. This worked out well for my wife because she doesn’t like eggs anyway. We both had the Salted Caramel Banana Waffle Slam. As usual, the food was DELICIOUS! And after an afternoon of shopping in town, it was a welcome treat to not have to cook a meal and clean up afterwards. Our server this trip was a lovely young lady named Madalynn. Once again the service was wonderful. Madalynn had a smile on her face every time I saw her, which was often whether attending to us or another table. We lacked for nothing during our meal. We were totally satisfied when we left. It’s a bit of a drive for us to be able to dine at the Hobbs Denny’s, but it’s well worth it. Went to Denny's on the evening of September 21, 2021. It was a group of 3. We were the only people in the restaurant. First, they were out of regular coffee. They only had decaf. Second, we ordered our food. We waited. As we waited we could hear the waitress talking to the cook. I had ordered the Crazy, Spicy, Sizzlin skillet without potatoes. The cook made it with potatoes and the waitress told him he had made it wrong. The cook says "Just send it out. If he complains, I'll remake it" We could hear that from our table and made the cook remake it before the waitress brought it out to us. Another member of our party ordered 4 over easy eggs and only got 2. They did correct that. They also tried to over charge us on the bill. It was pointed out and corrected. The food was good. The waitress did her best. But the attitude of the cook and his inability to read the order correctly and make the comments he did was not good customer service.
