I have no pics and normally I would have a bunch. My hubby and I went in for lunch, not the lunch special. Arrived around 12:30. The place was bustling and we thought this is good, the food must be awesome!
We were seated promptly. The restaurant floors were clean and the tables were immediately bussed as soon as a patron leaves. This made us glad that we came here to eat. 1. Clean floors; 2. Bussed table both ✅! All good signs, right? 🤔
Our server arrived and brought chips with salsa; we inquired what Was her recommendation??? I ordered an Arnold Palmer(unsweetened tea & lemonade), hubby ordered a PiB. Now I’m not knocking immigrants because I am and proud to be a Jamaican 🇯🇲 .. my server flipped over my menu and pointed. Ok I thought strange but I looked and I saw the enchiladas - I thought yummy 😋 I asked for 2 chicken and 2 beef instead of (chicken, beef, cheese & beans). My hubby ordered the same thing but asked for the variety. I’ll get back to Why I said I have nothing against immigrants. Our meal arrived and we immediately looked at each other with a puzzled look. The plates were hot and the presentation was great!
Now let’s get into it, shall we?!? The bean sauce was soupy I thought what the heck!?!? I started eating and I looked at my chicken and it looked a bit reddish - I’m thinking it’s the lighting. The chicken didn’t taste like it was freshly cooked but more like canned chicken. I started talking to hubby and said my food looked a bit strange. I was hungry so I kept eating. At this point you may say, well call the manager. Our server came by and I asked for more sour cream thinking it was just me let’s not make a fuss. I went on to the beef and this tasted dry and without any seasoning. Like it was overcooked and under seasoned. Now I was no longer feeling to eat. My hubby said he felt sick. He said the food did not taste good. We immediately asked for the check. The server didn’t even inquire why we had suddenly pushed our plates away.
Now for the immigrant reason. If you’re going to serve different cultures then I’m expecting for you to have an idea of the base language which is English. At the counter to pay our bill, I immediately mentioned to the manager/owner -not sure who he was; I told him that we were dissatisfied with the meal. Now let me mention that we paid the bill and tipped the server so we were not looking for a FREE meal or even a refund but when I said to the gentleman we were dissatisfied he looked at me, smiled and said thank you. I looked at my husband and repeated myself. He said, “it was good, right?” I said no! I was not loud or belligerent. I said in a low tone, “l don’t think you understand what I just said to you. The meal was disgusting!’ He said, “oh yes thank you”! At this point I was seeing red and I just wanted to leave. I turned around to leave and my server was sitting by the door looking like she was in a daze. I’m thinking I need to get out of here before I go off on this dude. He acted as if he didn’t understand English or was it an act? Because he kept repeating it was good, right?
So why did I pay first & not mentioned how disgusting the food was? I have no clue! But I didn’t want a discount off the next meal either because, WE WILL NEVER, EVER...
Read moreI experienced poor customer service during my visit to this restaurant. The cashier at the counter, an older individual appearing to be in their mid-40s or 50s, spoke to me in a curt and dismissive manner. I had placed an online order for the Santa Fe Pollo chicken dish with extra rice, bell peppers, and onions. However, upon receiving my order, I realized it was incorrect.
When I informed the cashier of the mistake and explained that I have a seafood allergy, I was met with skepticism and treated as if I was mistaken about my own order. The dish I received contained chicken, beef, and shrimp, despite my original request. The cashier insisted that I had ordered a dish that included seafood. To clarify, I had to pull up the restaurant’s online menu to prove that the meal I ordered did not contain beef or seafood. Only then did they correct my order and bring out what appeared to be the correct dish.
Unfortunately, due to my negative experience and lack of trust in the preparation of the food, I did not feel comfortable eating it and ultimately discarded the meal, despite having paid nearly $30. Based on this encounter, I would not recommend...
Read moreAlways has a crowd but no wait. People come from different towns just to eat at Nochoes Mexican Restaurant but it is FAR FROM LA PARILLA MEXICAN RESTAURANT. Three years ago I had went to Nochoes and all four times I got sick after eating. Twice I didn't make it out of Nochoes without getting sick. Like puking in the bathroom and once as I was walking out the store joining the restaurant because the two business share the same bathroom. The buffalo chicken wings are really good and I didn't get sick since years. Very kind and friendly environment. Once you get to know the staff and owner they will take care of you with free different things you may ask for. Like every restaurant there are some better servers than others. People in town all go to Nochoes because there is nothing else here but a Wendy's and a McDonald's and both have VERY POOR SERVICE AND LOCK THE DOOR ONLY USING DRIVE THERE. FRIES ARE LIKE CARDBOARD AND YOU HAMBURGERS ARE USUALLY DRY AND NO GOOD. GOOD FOR A ICE CREAM OR A CARAMEL FRATPA. I JUST FIND IT BEST TO DRIVE TWENTY MINUTES NORTH OR SOUTH AND EAT SOMEWHERE ELSE LIKE LA PARILLA...
