Sara's Pizza Palace Holbrook — Restaurant in Holbrook

Sara’s Pizza Place is one of my favorite restaurants. Their food is outstanding and their portions are large. All of the food I have ordered over the many years I have eaten at their restaurant has been superior. The Steak Tip Dinner Plate is the best steak tips I have ever eaten, perfectly cooked, juicy, with a sweet and tangy marinade. The Calzones are fabulous, my favorite is the steak and cheese it is like a steak and cheese sub wrapped in savory pastry. Their French Fries have a great crispy coating and are fluffy on the inside. The Onion Rings are as good as the French fries, crispy and light but not greasy. The Honey Barbecue Wings are sweet, meaty, but still crispy. However I would say that my favorite dish is the Large Cheese Pizza. The crust is light but not too crispy, the sauce is just perfect, and the cheese is delicious and there is a massive amount of it. It is simple but absolutely perfect! The owner John and his employee are also the nicest people. They are friendly and always remember their customers and pay special attention to them. Just ordered the gyro wrap the other day. The menu board said it was about $8.50. They ended up charging me $11.50. I can't figure out the discrepancy. I know that I kept ordering a gyro wrap and they kept saying gyro plate in response, leaving me more confused. Maybe they though it was a plate, which would explain the price, but a gyro plate is more than $11.50. I know that I received a gyro wrap which should have been about $8.50 plus tax. Maybe I'll order the gyro plate or dinner next time. Update: I ordered the falafel wrap today. veggie pizza is packed with great fresh veggies. whole broccoli florets and hunks of onion, mushroom and sliced tomato. Sliced tomato! so, it isn't watery, like with dice. really nice and perfect small to share with my co-worker. baked wings were plump, juicy and had a little crisp on the skin; even mix of flats and drums. my students kept saying the food was tasty and prompt. friendly service. if you love veggies and a nice set of wings...you got the right place. thumbs up from the Academy next door.
