Service and atmosphere were great. The food though leaves a lot to be desired. I got some tacos, beans, and shared some stuff with others. There just isn't much flavor, and the tacos themselves were very lightly seasoned meat, iceberg lettuce, and white American cheese. Think of tacos people make at home, and then imagine them with almost no flavor. The salsa tastes like marinara sauce, with no vibrant flavor like jalapeno or cilantro. They only offer two different hot sauces, both being the most mild you can get, so if you're trying to spice things up, you're in the wrong place. If you know your Tex-Mex, this is the best so far in SWVA. We lived in five different cities in Texas and have been on a quest to find good Tex-Mex since moving to this lovely area. We found the service friendly, the restaurant clean and the food as close as you can get to true Tex-Mex. Some of my children and grandchildren (party of 8) had dinner at Tequila's a few days ago. Ages ranging from 2 1/2 up to 65. There was plenty of entrees to suit all of our tastes.
