I've tried this place twice now and I just don't get the hype. I always end up going down the street to the other taco place. Last time here, the tortillas on my tacos were hard on the outside, almost as if they were lightly fried and old. I always only get lengua tacos and I find theirs to be very underwhelming. Stopped by on a taco Tuesday for the deal but, I don't eat pork, so only asada tacos qualify for the deal. Ended up wasting $26 on mediocre tacos. I thought of trying a salad but for $13/$14, I expect more than a Mexican salad (lettuce, cucumber, tomato and orange with your choice if meat). Been coming to this place for years never had a problem till today the owner threatened to call the police and almost broke the door to the bathroom trigering my ptsd. My boyfriend and I went to the restroom together because Id needed my hair held back after obtaining food poisoning from there food (I'm visibly shaking and sweating at this point) the manager/owner very rudely ignored the fact I had Informed him there is food poisoning in the restaurant to which he told me I was wrong and then proceeded to tell me that I was not a customer while I had my recipe in my hand my boyfriend kindly informed him that we where customer to which the manager/owner didn't care for customers. I am going to be honest I don't know how this place is rated above 4 stars. I made an order through door dash and I have to say the food was Horrible. I ordered some tacos de asada and the seemed as if it had been boiled and not grilled. They added so much onion which I don't mind but it tasted old. Like if it had been stored in the fridge for really long time. I also ordered some shrimp al mojo de ajo and had no flavor the rice tasted so plain and plate looked nothing like the pictures.
