Following up on my previous review below, I just ordered two 2.25 lb packs of Fancy Blenheim Apricots.

Patty, the owner, greeted me and offered me s taste of a slip pit dried apricot. Revelatory, deeply flavored, softly chewy, and absolutely delicious. I bought a pound of slip pits ($20) and a pound and a half bag of the Orchard Blend ($20).

The Orchard Blend is better than any Blenheim dried apricots I have tried before. The slip pits are on a different level. Patty explained the slip pits are so good because they are allowed to hang on the tree a little longer to ensure the pit slips out more easily when it is extracted by hand. As a result slip pits are big, beautiful, and bursting with flavor. They are so good I feel guilty eating them.

When I return (on my way from LA to SF) i will buy a 10 lb bag of the Orchard Blend and freeze half and eat half right away. I will also purchase a few 1 lb bags of the slip pits.

If you like dried Blenheim apricots look no further these are the best...

I've never liked dried apricots, having only eaten the brands one finds in most grocery stores. A doctor I follow (YouTube, chiropractor out of Camarillo) recommended that folks ought to be eating them for heart health, good health in general. I went to the Internet to find a better source (better than bland, blah stuff in most stores). I picked this one, Apricot King. I liked what I read about their operation. I ordered two packs of the fancy Blenheims, a pack of the unsulphured Blenheims. First bite-- I realized I had NEVER experienced a really great dried apricot, until that moment. I saw these dried apricots on David Lebovitz' stories on IG and had to try them for myself! My usual go-to are the Trader Joe's Blenheims, but those have been out of stock in New York for over 2 years now. And now I can confirm that these dried apricots from Apricot King are a hundred times better. Each and every single slice is so juicy/flavorful (not over-dried/rubbery). I got the Orchard Blend, Fancy Blenheims, and Simply Slabs. They were out of the SlipPits when I checked but will definitely get these next time they're back in stock. Cannot rave about this...
