Fraze's Scratch Cookin' — Restaurant in Holly Hill

WOW I really don't think I want to tell you about this little gem because you will love it here and I won't be able to get in anymore!!! ❤️❤️❤️

With that said, FRAZE'S little place is AMAZING

If those who remember, he had a small place inside a gas station in OBS We ordered from them all least 3xs a week NOW, if you read my posts you know I HATE to cook

The dishes he provided were so different FROM SCRATCH (delicious) that you would get a variety of meals for inexpensive prices and never have the same thing twice

Well, the gas station owners were terrible to him and he moved to Holly Hill

We found them again on Ridgewood Ave trying to find a place to eat and there they were. A HUGH sign is out front begging us to come in

FRAZE'S is a tiny place but there is still lots of room inside PLUS plenty of picnic tables outside.

We walked in, they were busy (help was short tonight) so we sat ourselves down, looked at the menu but while looking at the great dishes, The sweetest of family told us there was a special menu for weekends.

Again, WOW They had fall off the bone ribs, New York strip, Brisket, CRAB CLAWS!!! and more

We ordered and was told there was a wait because of the short staff I did say FROM SCRATCH RIGHT? But not like your big expensive restaurants, it did come rather quickly

While waiting for our food I looked over to different people's plates crude, I know But, that's me. When I see fantastic meals I want to ask what they are having.

This adorable family invited me over to explain there dishes. Wait until you see the crab claws...I was salivating. YUM

They even invited us over to sit and eat with them (We exchanged #s too)

What a great experience, fun, inviting time we had.

ALSO, they have karaoke on I think just Saturday's? I will have to get back to you on that If you sing, you will be put in a raffle to try to win your dinner WHAT???!!!!

Again, BUT, if you don't get there early, they will be eating out of house and home Did I tell you, they make their meals FROM SCRATCH 🤪

Anyway, we made plans with our new friends and hosts to come back next weekend. (AND had to pre-order the ribs because they always run out AND they make A LOT)

Don't ruin it for me but DO go to FRAZE'S SCRATCH kitchen, you will be pleasantly surprised and...

I’m writing this review simply for constructive criticism. I come in about once-twice a month and I want to say, the food is always excellent. Tonight, I called to ask about the specials (ribs and brisket) and got the information I needed. I said I’d call back in about two minutes and I did. However, when I called back about two minutes later, to see if there was enough brisket or ribs left and there was no answer. I tried about 7 or 8 more times before I decided to drive there and order in person. I was going to order two brisket dinners or two ribs dinners depending. When I get there, just as my turn in line is ready, 86 ribs and brisket. The phone was ringing off the hook and I see why I couldn’t get through. They were too busy to answer it. I understand how restaurants work and busy nights happen. I’m not knocking the staff as I can see how busy they were. They simply seemed understaffed. However, I’m writing this because I love Frazes’ and not answering the phone is one of the quickest ways I can see to really hurt a business. Also, not having enough brisket or ribs on their special night isn’t great either, considering I called two hours before close. I just wanted to bring it to the attention of whoever is running the restaurant as I can see an understaffed restaurant that is short on their ticket item is letting dollars signs fly by. I wish Frazes’ well because the hard part of opening and having great food and quick staff has already been accomplished. I would like to see Frazes’...

Went to lunch with the family today and to say I was not impressed would be an understatement. As soon as we arrive, the owner (female) is walking into the side of the restaurant, but not without screaming at us first "the dog on the rope is NOT friendly! (We were going to sit out side) ok... what ever. We go sit down and this dog is just barking it's head off the whole time, so we decided to go in. Our server never once smiled, said hello, nothing. Put our table together, got our drink Order. Brought 1-2 drinks at a time (party of 7) and in between getting our drinks preceeded checking people out, taking other orders and so on. They have no kind of high chair or anything for small kids to sit in so I think it's safe to say they are not kid friendly! When the food came, took 15 mins for her to bring our condiments, had to ask 3 times for a water that we already ordered and she forgot. When we needed a water refill she yells over my head "where's the water going???" When there's clearly an empty water cup, 1! She also almost dropped food on my cousin, but my cousin caught the food thankfully. Over all terrible experience, every one of the people working there seemed miserable and have no business working, let alone owning a restaurant! Will NEVER go back and will definitely express this to...
