I ordered my to-go order for Cinco de Mayo at 12:55pm the day of for a 6:15pm pick up to give the staff plenty of lead time since I knew it was going to be crazy busy with the Holiday. Whomever I spoke to on the phone assured me that my order would be ready for pick up. I then later found out from my neighbor that when she called she was told they weren't taking orders that far in advance and would need to call back at a later time. As soon as I walked through the doors, it was a chaotic mess. There was no organization. People were standing everywhere. Finally after a few minutes, I went to the hostess to give my name on the order. She took the name and went back to the kitchen but never gave me an update. Waited another 15 minutes, gave them my name again and the same thing. I watched people walk into the restaurant, order their to go food and they had it within 15 minutes; all while waiting on the order I placed hours beforehand. I asked numerous times for someone to at least make sure my ticket was back in the kitchen and they would "go check" but never gave me an update. After 45 minutes of waiting in the restaurant, my neighbors got their order (who ordered at 5:50pm) still while waiting on mine. Again, one of the staff members went back to the kitchen with my name but nothing. The gentleman who was standing beside us also ordered at 5:50pm and received his order right after the neighbors. At that point, I asked yet again (the fifth time) for a staff member to check on the order. She finally went to the computer and admitted they didn't have my ticket in the que. She said she just took it back to the kitchen and they were âputting it in to-go boxesâ. I told her they had two minutes or I was leaving. I gave them five minutes and still nothing. I told the hostess to drop the order that I was leaving. She clearly didnât care at all and just said "okay bye". She didn't care that I waited over an hour for food that I ordered five hours prior; she didn't care that I was taking my business elsewhere; she didn't care that I walked out of the restaurant after waiting an hour empty handed; she didn't bother to try to get a manager to handle the situation; she just blandly didn't care. This was my first experience with Eclipse Azul. I was excited to take my business somewhere that was trying to stay open and create business despite the COVID situation at hand. We had plans with our neighbors for a Cinco de Mayo party and turned up with nothing in hand because of someone else's poor decisions. Our Cinco de Mayo ruined because of Eclipse Azul as it was too late to order from another restaurant. I come from a family of restaurant owners so I understand that Holidays are busy and things happen; unfortunately I was at the other end of that situation this time. However, the was the situation was handled very poorly to say the least which made it even worse. We are very dissatisfied with...
Read moreTonight our family discovered a truly hidden gem! We came across a unique Mexican restaurant in Hickory Flat, at the corner of East Cherokee and Hwy 140 in Canton. This restaurant was unlike any other we've tried in the passed. When we entered Eclipse Azul, the amazing smells of deliciousness was our first impression. Secondly, we loved the quaintness of the restaurant, and our amazing waitress Kelli. We told Kelli this was our first time visiting Eclipse Azul and ask for suggestions. I have to say we were surprised at Kelli's response because we've never experienced a waitress/waiter suggesting that ANYTHING on the menu will be delicious. She followed that statement with the fact that they have incredible chefs. So, we ordered a small bowl of Tortilla Soup, which was out of this world! Our main course was the most incredible street taco's - steak, pork, and brisket, that we've ever tasted! The layers of flavors just kept coming through... they were definitely next level!! We also tried Fajitas Del Mar. Which were spot-on! We spoke to a very pleasant gentleman, I'm assuming was the manager - Tony. He also echoed Kelli's confidence in their chef's. I think it's important to mention the booth next to ours. They were tossing out compliments left and right. They made it known they were from California, and were very impressed with Eclipse Azul. So to bring this novel to close, we are beyond excited to find such a...
Read moreI just had an early dinner here a little bit ago. The meal started off as any other experience, but when the waiter brought the drinks out, he dropped one on me. He stood there dumbfounded for a few moments and said he would be back. Several others came over and began cleaning and then moved our party to another table. No one came to talk to us. The bill came and all the food was on there but drinks were not. I thought maybe they weren't charging us for them since he spilled the first one all over me. When he brought my card back he said he forgot to add the drinks on and my card had been run for a higher amount and all he said was sorry. On top of that, two of the other orders were entered in wrong and the food was pretty bland today. This was not my first time here, but it was definitely my last. Not sure if the waiter was nervous or possibly hit the margaritas early today, but hopefully the rest of his customers...
