Del Plata Bakery — Restaurant in Hollywood

Very disappointed with my visit this morning. I walked into what is presented as a bakery, but I'm near certain they don't actually bake anything on site, so it's not the freshest selection. I ordered and ate 2 quiche, they taste pretty good, HOWEVER: they were warmed in a microwave. How are you going to present yourself as a bakery and warm a quiche with a microwave? It was soggy and warm in some spots, cold in others. Just not how a quiche is supposed to be. Why would I go to a bakery to get soggy mushy bread? It should be crisp and flaky. I understand a quiche takes too long to bake per order, but a convection toaster oven, even a commercial version, is cheap and small. Walked in for lunch and didn’t put my mask on the face as soon as i entered , simply forgot ( and was reminded by the employee in the rudest possible way to put it on with a loud aggressive voice) after the employee continued talking rude even though I had my mask on properly and was choosing what to eat for lunch. I told the employee to lower the voice to which he told me to get out of the bakery since he is the owner , I was shocked to hear that and asked him again to lower his voice to which he said that if I have a problem I should do something about it and he was very aggressive. This was my first and last visit to this nice looking mom and pop store. The store was very nice and organized like a professional place. The ham and cheese empanada was "TERRIBLE"! (I believe it was not cooked properly).This was the worst tasting ham and cheese I have ever tasted in my over 5 decades of eating all kinds of latino empanadas from every latino country in the world. I also purchased a good looking piece of chocolate cake. Unfortunately it did NOT taste good! Publix bakery has better cake. That should be all I have to say! 👎Thumbs down big time!
