Been debating writing this but here goes. I took my best friend here for her birthday as a way for us to relax and forget about our trouble for a while. Initially the service was really nice the lady at the front desk was super helpful and friendly when I spoke to her on the phone and then for the check in. She explained how the place worked and walked us through everything. However once we got to the “spa” area it was full of men, we were confused but we made the most of it. The other customers showed us how to use the sauna and talked to us for a while. Once we were done using the facilities we went outside to see the pool and the outside area. We went to ask about the menu but we were ignored and treated rudely by one of the servers a blond lady. When I suggested we leave one of the servers, a brunette, followed us inside and took our food order pretty assertively. So we changed and went outside to eat, the food was very good but it was very distracting because we were being swarmed by mosquitoes the entire time. Our legs and arms were very swollen afterwards. After we finished eating I paid the server after waiting for her to come to our table for about 30 minutes. So we change and grab our stuff to leave and go to the front desk. Then the girl stopped me telling me I had to pay for the food, I told her that I already paid for the food but she didn’t believe me. She made me wait even longer so she can ask the server if we paid which the server explained that we had already paid. To top it off we went outside to leave and someone had parked in front of my car. I will say this place is not women friendly or POC friendly. I’m very disappointed in the service I was more stressed leaving then coming in. Spent around $300 to be treated like that. I will not be back...
Read moreI’ve visited this spa-restaurant no fewer than five times before and generally liked it, especially since it was run by my fellow countrymen. However, after my most recent experience, I am not only never going back, but I’m considering filing a formal complaint with whichever licensing body allowed this place to operate.
We brought American friends there to showcase a bit of our culture, and the experience was downright awful. Inside, there was zero staff oversight, no safety control, and frankly no sense of order. The place had turned into a complete dive where people were just pounding hard liquor and then mixing that with saunas and cold plunges. It’s a lethal combination and completely unacceptable. I saw people so drunk they could barely stand, stumbling around, harassing others, and basically acting like it was some kind of sleazy, drunken brawl rather than a place for relaxation and health.
To make matters worse, the so-called service staff were basically rude, old-school types who just barked orders at you about what to do and what to order, like they were stuck in the ‘90s. This place is no longer about wellness—it’s a trashy, chaotic dump. I wouldn’t step foot in there again. A place like Hürrem, its Turkish counterpart, is miles better because they focus on actual health—people drink tea and relax properly, not vodka and end up turning the place into a fight club. Bottom line: I do not recommend this place anymore; it’s become...
Read moreGreat hostess. This place should be packed but it had only 2 tables occupied. Beautiful atmosphere (except please quickly cover back patio with a view of dilapidated building) which is a really bad look for a spa! Let’s start with the negatives first. Waitress was inexperienced. If you are a new restaurant please train your staff or it reflects badly on the restaurant. She Came over and said are you ready to order. Never asked if we wanted a drink first. Nice as can be but had no idea what a martini was. She had to get the bartender and honestly he wasn’t much better. Said he had a Grey Goose and didn’t. When ordering a dirty martini using grey goose he followed with the question…so you want a shot…no a martini! Very strange. So absolute was substituted. We almost left because we were afraid that the food would also be horrible. SO GLAD WE DIDNT! The food is some of the best in So Flo!! Ending on a great note…lamb was to die for. Octopus was crazy good! Appetizers excellent! Dessert great! Highly...
