Sitting here outside after lunch and so full and wholesome..... After some large changes in life I find myself with a lot of free time during the day and have always drove by wanting to stop, thank goodness I did. Just a basic lunch sammich. But what got me was I put my order in grabbed a drink and sat down... The staff brought my food out with a smile and greeting and asked if I needed anything (not expecting table service/delivery) followed by every person that came in "hey where's pop" "what is mom skipping work today" just a very small shop feeling as a staple to the neighborhood. Still have yet to pay.... It got to the point I finished my sammich and sat for another 20 minutes just taking in that genuine old school feeling of love and passion that they truly value their services and patrons that come in. Unrushed or felt urged to pay I cleared the table and paid, on my departure the gentleman behind the counter (I believe Ricky) sent me on my way with a personal thank you and have a good day like we've known each other for years....
Heavily recommend heading here and checking them out. I already can't wait to come back for another...
Read moreSadly, I must give this place a mixed review. We've picked up from there twice. The first time, we got a corned beef on rye and a roast beef hoagie. The corned beef was very good, plenty of meat and Cole slaw with 1000 island dressing. The roast beef was good, what there was of it. Hardly any meat and very little lettuce tomato and onion. The next time we picked up, the corned beef was perfect as the first time, and the Italian hoagie was pitiful. Again very little meat and I had to search for the lettuce, tomatoes and banana peppers. Sorry but in this case two strikes and you're out. Can't wait for the new Wawa to open. Their sandwiches are always excellent and the same every time because they are strictly regulated by the home office. Mile High is a very deceiving name for this...
Read moreOk so as a guy from Boston finding a good sub shop here in S. Florida has been a challenge. This place is pretty damn good except that I ordered hots on my sub and was only given “jalapeños” as the hots” you’ll not find that in NY, Boston or anywhere in the north east. The sub hit the spot but next time I go I’ll bring my own hots and show the owner, I don’t know if he will accept my criticism but that’s what needs to be on an Italian sub. if you’re from the north east you will agree. Who the hell puts only jalapeños as hots only on an Italian sub.....You can get a jar of wiggles hots at Walmart right down the street which would be perfect. But ya so far this place is the best I’ve found so far if someone has found better please...
