Taqueria Don Pedro — Restaurant in Home Gardens

Came in at 9am for a "quick" breakfast burrito. After looking at the menu for 2 minutes I placed my order (9:02am)

After waiting almost 20mins... I went back up to the front to ask how much longer it would be.

Everyone behind the register seemed surprised and said "ooh... You didn't get it?."

After checking with the cooks: they said "Sorry we have a large order. Yours will be done soon!"

Looking through the windows into the kitchen I could see that nothing had been started for my food.

It was obvious they they had forgotten my order and I reluctantly asked for a refund.

I had 30 minutes to spare on my way to work.

Spent 20 waiting for a burrito that never came & 10 writing this review.

I have only ordered for pickup about twice per month over the past year. This is 1 of only 2 or 3 restaurants I can find within a 7-mile radius that serves carne de cordero (lamb, but they label it barbacoa here). I'm very impressed at the variety of menu items - almost a hundred, with pictures too! So I alternate between the plate of lamb, mole lamb enchiladas, or lamb tacos. Each come with rice, beans, tortillas, hot salsas, limón verde, grilled jalapeno and onion. I always order a large side of mole no matter what! I haven't had any digestive issues from...

This was my first time visiting this location. The menu had a large amount of food options. All food is freshly made so it will take longer than a fast food place to receive food. My personal preference would be for a simpler menu but it’s me. You may like all the options available.
