Chesdan's Pizzeria and Grille — Restaurant in Homer Glen

My server was horrible. I dont know her name but she was older with blonde hair and hoop earrings. After we were sat, she would ask one question and then run to do whatever she needed to do instead of staying for a split second to ask if we had questions about the menu. She did this three separate times. We finally ordered, we got onion rings and a pizza. During the order process I asked her if they had a fluffy crust, not seeing the small thick crust option under the "Our Famous Thin Crust" heading on the menu. She immediately started making fun of my voice and mannerisms. We got through the order process and the food was ok, not really worth the rude server though. Though I was paying, I told my partner to write the tip after I signed as I was so furious at this server for being rude to me, that I knew I would leave $0. My family and I went to dine here last week and experienced a HORRIBLE time. First my daughter and I got our soups but the waitress couldnt carry my wife's soup so she had to go back, returning some five minutes later with her soup. Then came the entrees: I had the eggplant which was fair but in no way did it compare to the way they used to cook it. It was so much better last year. My wife had the ravioli and it was ICE COLD! We told the waitress and she took it back snottily saying that maybe the order came up first and was waiting for the others. Then my wife waited for an extremely long time and when she did appear we asked where the dinner was and she said it was cooking a little longer. My daughter and I were already finished eating so we said we were not waiting any longer and to take it off the bill. Not so visible as it is set back from the road at the end of a strip mall. Our first visit and it was terrific! Food, service, and the place itself, all really good. I had the lasagna and the cheese was just oozing out. My wife had spaghetti with meat sauce which she loved. Minestrone which was included with dinner was delicious and very large. A good sized bowel, not a small cup like you receive at many places. One of the owners seated us and he was so friendly and accommodating. Our server, Sandi I believe, was likewise very friendly and helpful. The Wine list was pretty good for a relatively small place and reasonably priced. The history of this restaurant is interesting.
