I had one item from this restaurant. I chose cod fish and chips. It was priced at around $18.96. Chose the cod instead of halibut because the halibut was $26.95 and half the amount of fish as compared to the cod. The wait time was reasonable, about a 5 minute wait. The food looks very good. Golden fried fish on top of a bed of waffle fries. A small cup of tartar sauce, a lemon wedge and utensil. When I tried to break off a small piece to gauge the temperature level I was met with quite a bit of resistance. This is very unusual for cod. Cod being a light flaky fish, I should have been able to easily break off a piece with my fingers. Instead I had to use the supplied form and knife. Even then I was faced with a pretty good battle just trying to get the first bite. Once I did and for some reason decided to put the fish in my mouth I was met with a flavorless, chewy bite. The meat was very grisly, similar to eating octopus. While the batter had visible pieces of dill, it was very flavorless. I ended up tossing the fish and just eating the waffle fries. In retrospect after I ordered my cod fish and chips they marked it "Out of Stock" on the menu board. Which means they gave me scraps at the bottom of the bin. I should've changed my order. They should've never served me fish that clearly wasn't edible. Conclusion. I will not be going back. There are a plethora of fish and chips restaurants in Homer. I didn't think it was possible to find a bad fish and chips restaurant in Homer. I guess...

We went here unsure of what to order but definitely wanted something grilled. The receptionist was incredibly helpful in guiding us through the menu. We mentioned we wanted grilled food, so they checked with the chef to make sure our request could be accommodated, and we appreciated the personalized attention.
We wanted Hallibut but was unsure about other item. Initially, we were thinking about grilled cod, but the chef wisely advised against it, suggesting Cods can fall apart when grilled. Instead, he recommended grilled shrimp, and we took his suggestion.
Grilled Halibut (5/5): Wow, this was amazing! The grilled halibut was cooked to perfection, with a beautiful char and tender, flaky meat. Definitely one of the best fish dishes I’ve had.
Grilled Shrimp (5/5): This shrimp was out of this world! I’ve never had shrimp this good, and I honestly don’t think I’ll ever taste anything that comes close. Perfectly grilled, with a delicious smoky flavor and just the right amount of seasoning.
The chef’s recommendation really made our meal exceptional. The receptionist was awesome. The whole experience was top-notch, and we left completely satisfied. Highly recommend the grilled halibut and shrimp—truly...
Read moreThe food was excellent, got the halibut halibut fries absolutely delicious! However, Shane who was the guy who was bringing out the food was rude. He came out with our order and we mentioned we wanted it to go to the front counter girl when we ordered, however she must have not wrote that part down. So when Shame came out amd we told him he said quite ridley and in front if other customers, "You should've said something when you ordered!" The way he said it was snotty and rude. I told him also loudly that "Yes we did say something when we ordered!" As we were leaving I told him again he was being rude and he looked at us and gave us a thumbs up and had this smirk look on his face like he didn't care and told us Have a good day! Anyways.maybey he woke up wrong this morning, but it was not appreciated and should watch how he speaks to people because I could have took that to a whole...
