I’ve had poke in several states/locations and this was by far the worst poke bowl ever. First, there was no tobiko which I had ordered… so back to the counter and they put this scoop of green tobiko which I never had before - I asked about it and they were all like “oh it comes in green sometimes”… then eating it, I tasted wasabi which I hate but thought maybe some accidentally got on my rice or something (I just googled it and green tobiko is flavored with wasabi, red is flavored with beet juice and black with squid ink) - but after a couple of bites, my husband and I both were questioning the tuna and salmon … never mind the “aioli” on my husbands bowl, it was just this sad broken/lumpy looking Mayo… so back to the counter again to ask about the fish and if it was sushi grade - the three kids behind the counter tried to convince me it was… at best it was frozen and then thawed. The kids shrugged their shoulders. No “how can we make it right”, nothing. So $30.00+ went in the trash and I walked out highly disappointed. I pray we don’t get food poisoning cause we are on the road (ie. Traveling). I’d skip this one if I were you. Two stars for the location sharing an entry way with the ice cream shop next door - and THAT is worth a stop. Try the...

I love this place! Food options are fresh and the owner of the store is always present when I go in to eat. He's originally from CA. I think he said but have this store here and the one downtown bham which I haven't visited yet and I work 3 blocks away. I'm a foodie and when I say I LOOOOVVE THIS PLACE I MEANT IT.. the owner helped me out the first visit because I was so unsure of what to have... he even came over to converse worh me and my friend from LA.. best place to go to for a bowl with always fresh products and the sweet tea is always a delight (coming from a southern girl)... not to mention the ice cream shop adjacent to them has the best ice cream I've had in a long time so a very good place to eat , sit and have dessert...

The teenagers who work here are rude. We gave it three tries and it’s the same empty restaurant and the staff sitting at the tables when we walk in the door. They don’t great you or even smile. In fact they act as if we are a bother by coming in.

The food is good but it is overpriced. They have two bowl sizes large or small. We fed two people for $20.

The second location is in the Pizitz plaza in Birmingham. That one is completely different and I recommend the second location for a good meal and...

Their food was great. When we ordered, we were able to build our own bowls or choose from 4 suggested bowls. We had to wait about 10 minutes for our food but it was so fresh and delicious! It’s also nice because all the meat (and tofu) is standard so you only pay for the size of the bowl. Their ahi tuna was good. My wife and I are definitely going to go back.

Green Bowl w/Spicy Tuna & Crunch Bowl w/Spicy Tuna. Both excellent choices, clean & refreshing, decent portions & flavor punched with a bending spicy note! A quick favorite, close in our 'hood of Homewood, friendly staff, a quick lunch option with all healthy & no guilt opportunities on the menu! Will def be keeping an eye on this treasure.
