Zippy's Kalihi — Restaurant in Honolulu

So first of all, this is Zippy's we're talking about. It's kind'a like McDonalds for the island, BUT SO much better. My point is it's not intended to be fine dinning. But it IS intended to be comfort food I'd say. So you'll never find a 5 start Zippy's is my point.

Food. as expected. Good, quick, as expected. Atmosphere. Typical Zippy's location. Tables, lots of Filipinos (my wife is Filipino fyi), reasonable clean, except bathroom Service. Really, it was excellent. The young Filipino man was so nice and polite, I wish he way my waiter at some fine dining places ;).

I had the loco-moco, which is hard to go wrong at Zippy's. We has just landed, and it fit the bill after a long flight, and looking for late night grindz perfectly. Not much open at 11pm.

Bottom line, would I go back. Fo'sho, if I'm looking for a Zippy's kind'a experience. Remember, it's Zippy's. But it's part of the...

Zippy's is a local fast food restaurant. I have never been to a zippy's restaurant before, I've just heard how much better it is than other fast food places. After hearing so many great things about it, I just had to try it out. This is a very clean and spacious restaurant. Everything is not in your face like other fast food places, and you don't have to be wondering where things are either. I joined in into the line, and it must have been like a 6 minute wait before it was my turn. I ordered the teriyaki burger, which came with a side of fries and a drink. This teriyaki burger was so good and the fries were also very good. People are right. This restaurant is way better than most fast food restaurants and is also more affordable than some of the other fast food restaurants. Will definitely be coming back,...

Staff was kind and super welcoming. They were so sweet to my 5 year old during our "mommy daughter sunday brunch". If I were rating this restaurant simply based on staff alone, they would have 5 stars all day. However, the actual restaurant itself was set up very confusingly with an outdoor, covered takeout window (for deli only I believe)on one half and a small sit down area on the other half. The actual sit down restaurant did not appear to be very clean and had a distinct smell of mildew toward the back. We almost left based off smell alone. We ventured over to the bakery and grabbed some desserts to take home and had nearly an exact opposite experience. This side appeared and smelled cleaner. However, customer service was not great. I had 2 people in front of me, yet waited over 20 minutes...
