Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Hooksett

Came here for lunch on my 21st with my boyfriend, mom and brother. I've worked in the service industry since I've been 16 and the service here is sub par. Waited over 5 mins to be greeted and seated and another 10 before our drink orders were taken. It's my 21st so naturally I ordered an alcoholic beverage. Present not only my new ID but also my expired one and the server took almost 2 minutes to look over them. My mother actually had to say something to her for her to give me my IDs back. It's quite clearly me on both of them and the new one obviously says nothing about me being under 21. Should not have taken longer than 30 seconds to verify that it was me and what my DOB is. Not only that but theres a little advertisement on a table card that stated "free appetizer if we dont suggest a margarita". When the server came by I asked about it because when she took our drink order she did not offer the margarita and she said "well none of you look 21". Well I am, and that's not exactly a good response to give to your customers when asking about an offer that YOUR company is displaying. Definitely will not be coming back to...

What kind of establishment are they running?

We walk into a facility with about 30% of tables filled. The bar could seat 15-20 and there were 4 people there. We walk in to the restaurant and state we are sitting at the bar. They made us wait 15 minutes for no one to leave the bar. The couple behind us were very displeased with waiting as well. The older gentlemen refused to wait. You go bro. Stand up for us!

I will say - Drea (aka Andrea) was absolutely fantastic! Personable, witty, and welcoming. She's amazing! Definitely the highlight of the restaurant. She upgraded the experience a star.

The restaurant is run extremely inefficiently. While we were waiting there were 3 hostesses standing around us. The staff was adequately staffed to handle increased capacity. Lots of unhappy people 😕sad. They also use like 4 people to bring out 6 dishes. Efficiency! Give these people trays!

I came to Applebee’s tonight before our movie. We showed up at 5:15, I remember because we said we have exactly an hour and 15 minutes before it starts. Should have been enough time. Well, we got sat and we waited until 5:30. No one came over at all. We walked out, and came to the 99 right down the road. They were just as busy, and we got our orders taken immediately, so saying it was busy doesn’t seem like a good reason. We told the lady on the way out and she was very nice, offered to let us speak to a manager but we did not have time as we still wanted to eat before the movie. The employees hanging out standing behind the bar chatting away didn’t help, I was going to go up to them and ask for someone to take our order but my husband pointed out that we shouldn’t have to. I understand being busy as I am a server myself and that since we were on a time crunch it might have been unfair, but when we saw the servers and managers standing around chatting we lost our patience.
