Normally I forgive and forget service faux pas. This morning however, is not one of those times. I walk in to the cafe and wait patiently at the counter as I realize that there are only two associates currently working. Doubly relaxed because I know they are busy with drive-thru orders and I was in no rush. An associate came up while fulfilling an order for a box of donuts, she gives me a disapproving look (mind you I am the only customer inside of the establishment). Then makes a comment about being short staffed and wanting to close the lobby so they'd only have to deal with the drive-thru. I let this one pass, she is agitated, I get it, I've been there. I place my order, she makes my drink and goes to make the breakfast sandwich. At this point a gentleman comes in for his shift and starts working. No communication about orders waiting by the drive-thru window, so he is left to inquire with each customer and ask if they've already paid. Meanwhile, the associate who assisted me is in the back making my sandwich, slamming anything she can get her hands on in frustration. I get my sandwich after a reasonably short wait and decided to kill a little more time and eat there instead of on the road - also giving my back a much needed reprieve from my terribly uncomfortable car seats. While sitting and eating, more customers begin to filter in to the establishment as opposed to using the drive-thru. And the entire time, well within ear shot of her fellow employees and the coming and going customers - "Guess what I am doing on my day off? I'm f*ing here. All day." - one of the few statements about her lamentation of being at work that I caught, and many others undoubtedly did as well.
If it hadn't been for the surprisingly comfortable chairs, I likely would have left mid sandwich.
I give a full star for the chairs alone, and a full star for the food. The toxic atmosphere of the establishment is near palpable and wholly unprofessional, and doesn't warrant anything for a rating. I get it, you're having a rough day, but making it the subject of constant blathering for all to hear does not remedy the matter. It puts your customers ill-at-ease and creates a less than adequate working environment for...
Read moreWe frequent this Dunkin’s and usually have absolutely no problems. Food is always great, service is always great. However this morning we are greeted at the speaker box with a female worker that was very blunt and not very friendly approaching with “what do you want” and then when it took us not even a minute to answer back she repeated herself even sharper. Then when we got to the window she just said our total and in a very non caring voice asked how our day is going but said nothing in return to our response but to go to the next window. There we basically get our sandwich thrown at us metaphorically speaking with barely any words. When ordering we asked for no whip on one of the drinks and she just snapped at us saying that it automatically comes with whip. My coffee tastes absolutely disgusting and nothing like what it usually tastes like and usually I have no problems. We waited on a donut at the second window for so long and no one came to ask what we were waiting for. Over all bad experience. I would not recommend going to...
Read moreI went in today to exchange 3 pounds of coffee I had bought from the exact same location around the same time the previous morning. Unfortunately I had bought the wrong flavor.
To my surprise the women refused to let me exchange the brand new unopened bags for the correct flavor of the same price without a receipt. To this I told her I was in yesterday morning and the (friendly) woman working then would likely remember me.
She absolutely did not care and said in a very unfriendly and almost accusative manner you could have bought that anywhere and had ZERO sympathy for being stuck with 3 pounds of the wrong coffee!
In my life I have never experienced a retailer that would not give a customer the benefit of the doubt and exchange an unopened item in brand new condition without a receipt (and I previously worked in loss prevention).
How many people actually keep their dunkin coffee receipts???
A ridiculous policy and absolutely terrible unfriendly and uncaring service on...
