I’ll take pictures next time. That’s right, next time. I’ll be coming back. I was too consumed with enjoying my first experience to think to take pictures but honestly it was picture worthy. I had an original style K-dog, Asian chicken sandwich that is served with chips (forgetting their unique name for them right now), and bubble tea. Let’s get into it. Me nor my friend had ever been here before and we were immediately greeted and explained how the process of the restaurant works. It’s a mixture of self-serve and order to table type of experience. You can fix your own drinks if it’s water or fountain drink. But they also have specialty drinks like bubble tea and alcohol available you can order at your table and they will deliver. I’d never had a K-dog before and was a bit nervous. I shouldn’t have been! It was so good. The sweetness of the dough, the saltiness from the meat and the cheese. Yumm! The chips you could tell they did themselves and had their own seasoning on it with a LITTLE kick that had me devouring them. And the chicken sandwich! It came out as two mini sliders. The chicken was so succulent I’m pretty sure they slid the meat directly off the chicken thigh bone and fried it just like that as it wasn’t flattened into a patty or anything and again SO juicy and tender. Now let me go in on the service as I discuss the last item: the bubble tea. I chose the strawberry milk tea. So did my friend. She didn’t make any alterations. But I did. I asked to have mine changed to coconut milk specifically. I didn’t put any extra notes on my reasoning because even though I AM lactose intolerant luckily if they’d made the mistake I probably would have only been uncomfortable for awhile and forgotten to think of it. But what they did showed me that if anyone DOES have serious issues it would not be taken lightly. They came to my table and though they did not ask for specific details. They 1) acknowledged my alteration and 2) offered a way for me to differentiate my cup from my friends so we would not accidentally mistake each others drinks though out the meal. Y’all. I know it’s probably something we should expect at this point but honestly it’s the first time I’ve ever had someone acknowledge my alterations without it 1) being a big deal but also 2) taking it into consideration IN CASE. This was all wrapped into a wonderful atmosphere. I loved the decor, the set up, the music. And I’m excited about their future as I heard they’ll be hosting karaoke, trivia and etc type of nights in the future. I know...
Read moreUnderwhelmed. Walked in to meet a friend I immediately felt misled thinking it was a nice trendy restaurant compared to self service/fast food. Their website prompts you to make reservations, which I did, and their IG only has two pics of the inside which led to the confusion with type of restaurant. Definitely not the place you go for girls night.
We decided to give it a try so I ordered 2 cocktails & 2 appetizer (Chick nuggies + egg rolls) while I waited for my friend. After she arrived, an appetizer (gyoza) was delivered to the table and we started to eat as we were mid conversation. After waiting for the 2nd appetizer, I checked my phone to see if I had ordered two only to realize I didn't even order gyoza. I had considered it but went with the nuggies and egg rolls. I noticed the table beside us had eggrolls and nuggies and asked them confirming our orders had been switched.
I went to the counter showed my order confirmation and explained the switch up. I asked to have one of the appetizers removed and the manager said don't worry and offered to make both. I declined and said please only make the eggrolls as I was ready to leave at this point. After waiting my friend left to go grab a table next door at a different restaurant and I waited for the eggrolls which I could see sitting in the window. Frustrated from being misled, order mess up, sticky tables and not trying to mess up our girls night, I just paid my ticket so I could leave. A server walked up and I asked about the eggrolls and he didn't know who they belonged to since there wasn't a table # assigned🤦♀️. There were only 4 tables of guest at the time. I asked him to give them to the table beside me and left. Paid $48 for 2 cocktails and 2 appetizers that turned into 6 pieces of gyoza, at least the cocktails were good.
I'l give another shot before writing it off but operations is a mess. It seemed chaotic for 6pm on a Saturday and only 4 tables occupied so I can't imagine with larger crowds. The server was eating dinner at another table which I found to be odd. The other off putting item was their website menu prices vs menu scanned at the table, each item is about 2$ more than...
Read moreI decided to book a private party here for my birthday. This was only my second time coming here. The first time I came, I believe a lady named Ashley was the manager at the time and she gave myself and my family coupons for boba at Comic Con last year. The restaurant just opened up I believed. She really broke down everything on the menu and even gave us free drink samples.
For my birthday dinner on Saturday, I want you to say first and foremost the service was excellent. I didn't catch pur server's name, but she was very sweet and patient. I could tell the server was a little overwhelmed, but she handled her composure well and continued to check in on me and my guests. Any concerns or requests she had, she was on it, so I hope they recognize her work ethic and maybe give her a raise. I liked the face that the executive chef came put and introduced himself and shared some of his favorites on the menu. I was a little surprised that several items have been taken off compared to when we first came. He always was nice enough to put my cake in the fridge while we eat and offer me a drink on the house, which he didn't have to do.
The main reasons why I am not giving five stars is because the silverware wasn't that clean. The silverware was kind of spotty looking, which turned off my guests, so we just ended up using plasticware to eat with or chopsticks if necessary. Also, I think there was some discrepancy about playing my Spotify playlist. For some reason, we couldn't find it on the iPad but the server said she could play one of my favorite artists, so I suggested SZA and she played her songs, but the volume was super low compared to how it was when we first walked in. Considering there were maybe 2 or 3 people in the restaurant, I don't think it would have been...
