I recently visited The Whole Scoop Ice Cream Shop in Hoover, and I have to say, it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted with a warm, welcoming atmosphere and the delicious smell of freshly made waffle cones. The shop had a cozy, family-friendly vibe, with plenty of seating and a cheerful, inviting decor.

The selection of flavors was impressive! I took my time browsing because there were so many unique options, from classic vanilla and chocolate to more adventurous flavors like caramel pretzel and blueberry cheesecake. I ended up going with a scoop of their homemade butter pecan in a waffle cone, and it was absolutely delicious—rich, creamy, and packed with flavor.

What really stood out to me was the staff. They were friendly, patient, and more than happy to offer samples and recommendations. Even though the shop was busy, they kept the line moving quickly while still making sure each customer got great service.

It's a "mom & pop" store. Pretty straight forward. Ice cream and all the fixings. If you are looking for Starbucks mocha latte triple fudge flavored fat free, gluten free, dairy free, allergen free and nutrasweet sweetened, them pass right by this place. If you looking for a waffle cone and two scoops of cold sweet nectar touched by the hands of the ice cream gods, you'll wanna give these guys a try. First time customer and went there because of the highly rated reviews. I was celebrating my birthday on 6/20/2018 and shared this with the owner and he made a comment that “I guess that means the ice cream is on me.” I responded with a yes but did not take him seriously and when I got to the register he asked for my name and wrote it down, then told me the ice cream was on him and to have a wonderful birthday. I was so touched I asked for a hug. The ice cream was delicious and so was the service. I highly recommend this...
