Never been here before... visiting from out of state... this place and the turkey came highly recommended...We got there at 3:45 waited to order then waited an eternity for the food...there were dozens of people come and go... apparently they do a big delivery business... and others who know call ahead...I was expecting a 10-15 min. wait... that's what I'd consider reasonable time for a take out order to be filled... no-one said anything about how long the wait may be when I placed the order... she was too busy taking another order on the phone(and yet they have a list of "expectations" on the wall... one of which is to be done with your phone conversation before trying to place your order...)I guess I can't expect the same consideration) it is a strange set- up with a black curtain pulled across the room to seperate the front from the kitchen...I ordered the combo white plate with chicken, turkey, mac n cheese and baked beans... and while I waited I got a kool-aid punch...I stood there for an hour and a half.... I finally asked how much longer since others who had ordered after me where gone...I was told 5 minutes... they were just packing my order.... well the chicken breast was tasty... and juicy... the wing--my favorite piece--was inedible... the turkey was soaked in vinegar... I've had vinegar based barbecue...I love it... this was chopped turkey meat with just vinegar no sauce that I could taste... couldn't eat it...the mac n cheese was some of the best I've had except for the bottom bites(1/3 of the serving) which were saturated in vinegar... the baked beans were also tasty... much like my wife's recipe... since I don't live here I probably won't be back... but I made my $25 donation almost $3 of which was for the kool-aid punch... which was like the kool-aid I got at a little kid's kool-aid stand...including plenty of sugar and ice from a little cooler... the kid was only asking a dollar...... Given the EXTREMELY LONG wait time and the price...the only thing that would bring me back for more is the mac n cheese... maybe.... and I'd call ahead... because as the numerous signs around the establishment read "They are not a FAST food...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAs a DORDASHER who was only trying to deliver food for one of YOUR customers..If I could give zero stars I would. Clearly doesn't cater to white folks and are the most racist people I've ever encountered since starting. Communication goes a long way. If somebody nicely asks you for an update on time. Not because they're rushing you but so that they can let a customer know how much longer they have to wait (a customer that I am delivering too). To tell somebody that they could have left... (After the male employee looked at me and said it's being prepared and will be finished when it's finished) so I apologize that I was trying to provide professional customer service to one of your customers who I let know the issue. I don't recommend anybody to eat here. Not to mention how nasty the place seems. Clean your walls, your ceilings. Your floor. Don't just paint over gunk. There's a reason that it's just a hallway and not a real restaurant. Probably serves raw chicken since they don't know how long it takes to for an order to be completed.
I was extremely respectful even when I was treated poorly as soon as I stepped foot inside the door. I might have been a doordasher this visit but I could have been a potential future customer but will choose to never walk down your tiny hallway. āŗļø God bless you and I will pray for you and how you treat future DoorDashers and have already reported to support how poorly you treat somebody just because they're DoorDashing. Hopefully you won't encounter any more doordash orders so you won't have...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIāve been eating at this establishment for a few years now, regularly. The food is ALWAYS amazing, fresh, hot, and my order is always correct. Recently I visited, on an extremely busy day, and once I got down the road, I realized one of my items was missing. Yāall, it was the banana pudding. If you know, you know. I did not go back (I donāt live in the area) and realized I should have checked before leaving (thatās their policy). Fast forward to a few days ago, I stopped for an order and mentioned the banana pudding had been left off (did not request a replacement or anything more). The young gentleman (I think heās the owner or manager, usually heās in the back) did not argue with the me, disagree, or change his attitude at ALL. He smiled and said āokayā. To my surprise, when I got to my truck, he had replaced my banana pudding. Thank you sir!!!!
Much to take from this. Consumer: I did not get mad and blast the business all over social media for a rare mishap, I didnāt stop supporting the business for the rare mishap. It would take more than that for me to stop eating the food (itās just that good). Lastly, I did not approach the matter aggressively.
Businesses: Be able to accept feedback when you fall short without getting an attitude with the customer and try to make it right in some form. Not just with an āoh well attitudeā.
If I could give 1O...
