Parkton Grill on Main — Restaurant in Hope Mills

Drove from Fayetteville due to power outage in city to get lunch. First time in area. Saw this beautiful park with lake across the street that I wanted to stop and discovered this place across the street. I support small businesses and this place looked great. I don't know the area but it was a high traffic area and it took a while to get thru.

You couldn't get to the front of the place due to traffic and had to park on the side.

Place mostly empty and there was no one at counter. Cash register/hostess in middle of restaurant not by door. Sat at the counter not knowing if I should wait for seating.

Waitress came over and I told her I was from out of town, first visit and wanted recommendations. Ended up getting my go to Philly Cheese steak. It was brought out while I was in the restroom.

Ate it quickly. It was hot and delicious but the flavors hadn't blended. It was okay but not great. Fries again good, crinkle kind.

Another lady got me a refill. They didn't have dessert so I went to Big T's next to the park, even better.

Check was delivered with food so I never saw my waitress again. Another refilled my drink. Food was better than the service.

I'd eat here again knowing service is bland. I'd try another dish next time.

Bathroom is not ADA approved. Very small. I'm 5'11 and my knees brush the wall when you're seated. If you're taller or handicap this bathroom will...

Our first time eating here was on 08/09/22. It was busy when, we arrived and the parking lot was almost completely full. It reminds me of a mom and pop old fashioned restaurant. We were greeted as we walked in and our server was Tabitha. She was friendly and took good care of us. Since, it was our first time here, we wanted to try a little bit of everything. We ordered sweet tea, a BLT w/fries, a single pancake, a single piece of fried catfish, fried okra and the mega burger without coleslaw and fries. The food was served nice and hot and cooked well. The BLT & fries were well seasoned. The pancake was very good. Extremely light and fluffy. The only thing I can recommend is a little more seasoning on the other foods that had little to no seasoning. I understand everyone has different nutritional needs so, this could be the reason for it with the rest of the food. I did see a lot of left over foods on the tables and I wondered if, that was the reason. We had a good lunch and the service was good and the price was not bad for both of us at $29.00. I would recommend coming here. We are going to go back to try the other items...

First of all if I could give them no stars minus that's exactly what they would get I thought the one in part in itself was bad but this one is just his words I guess when it comes to colored people and I will say we really get no respect first of all the looks you get like I said all the worst the service is the worst the prices are the worst and then the food you get is not that great for the price how do you even give someone a plate of food that you have to have utensils to eat with and you don't get any I guess we eat with our hands and that's how they treat you you eat with your hands so with that being said this place is going to get star minus for me and I don't think I'll be ever going back again I thought it was just me but now I know it is what it is Good luck to the next set of color folks...
